| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Dec 21, 2007 12 ounce bottle from a mixed 8 pack purchased from the Nugget in Woodland, CA. Very very light roasted, metallic aromas. Very faint...even for a mild ale, this doesn’t distinguish itself. Transparent golden body with a small-medium white head. Again, this is not what mild ales typically look like. Light roasty maltiness present in the middle, with a little lemony yeasty house character. Light metallic hops to finish. I guess this is ok. Not horrible, but it also doesnt strike me as something I’d ever crave. BückDich (4832), McCall, Idaho, USA
| 2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 2/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 8/20 | Dec 17, 2007 Bottle: Gold bronze color, light white head and a bit of lacing. The nose is full of husk and a bit of wheat notes, but there is none in the recipe. A touch of hops and a husky malt flavor don’t do much more to backup the already disappointing nose. A moderate body, clean tail, but thin and lacking. kegmeister (25), Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA
| 2.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 4/5 | 3/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Dec 17, 2007 Looks nice, but very, very weak beer. Almost like a lite beer. Not a lot of flavor. I suppose it is marketed for the lite beer audience, not craft beer drinkers. bhensonb (4246), Woodland, California, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Dec 9, 2007 Fresh aroma of light malt and hop. Darkish gold color with a white head that leaves tatters of lace. Near medium in body with firm carbonation. The flavor is light malt and floral hop. The bitter is enough to balance the malt, but it is not strongly bitter. The finish is crisp and balanced. Drinks very well. Delightful. MadMan (497), Tempe, Arizona, USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Dec 4, 2007 Updated: Dec 23, 2007Bottle. Pours a lightly hazy gold with small white head. Aroma is malty, lightly of caramel. Flavor is pleasantly malty but light overall with just a hint of bitter hops. Finish is short and clean. Light and watery on the palate. Pretty thin but tasty and easy drinking. SSSteve (2062), Atlanta, Georgia, USA
| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Dec 1, 2007 hazy light gold with a thin film white head. aroma of light sour hops and some biscuity malts. flavor is bready malt and light hops as well. the hops liven it up enough to make a nice tasting brew but not really true to style. | 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Nov 29, 2007 This is my first of the style (haven’t said that in a while) so I have nothing to compare it to but it is a good beer. Very British (in my mind). Aroma of distant hops. Pour was a medium gold with a nice 2 finger off white head. Taste was very carbonated and mellow. A slight hoppiness in the aftertaste that doesn’t overpower and a hint of light malt throughout. Nice. cheapdark (2016), Monacatootha, Pennsylvania, USA
| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | Nov 29, 2007 As described, this is pretty mild for an ale. First smell is off like pond water but it clears to something more friendly and sweet, perhaps some floral hops. Lovely yellow hazy swirling pour from gunk on bottom of bottle. Creamy foamy girdle around the inside of the glass. Decent carbonation. Initially slight bitter then becomes more amicable. Overall, not bad, though the finish has a mild hop medicine feel. Mild ales are much more palatable than other insulting ale styles.
