Commercial Description:
This recipe is a true craft ale brewed with only water, yeast, hops and malted barley, in keeping with the Bavarian Purity Law of 1516. We have designed it with a vibrant golden amber hue and a refreshing body. The mild addition of Kent Golding hops balances the generous amounts of caramel malts to give it a malty rather than a bitter finish. A special strain of California Ale Yeast gives the brew a slight hint of fruity aroma.

Clear amber pour, yeasty sediment from the bottom of the pour slowly descending. A couple finger of open white head leaves a generous lacing. Faint, quickly fading herbal aroma. Pleasantly sweet and cidery on the front, becoming drier, somewhat tart, grassy, and grainy on the finish. Thin, watery palate.

Golden pour. We were drinking PBR and I had one of these. It was about as good as the PBR. Maybe a bit worse. Slightly sweet flavor with no hops. Very thin. This is kind of an epic fail for a beer.

12oz bottle from the mix pack. Clear copper color with a thin white head. Malty and fruity aroma with some spice and sour character. Overly tart flavor with lots of malt, some hop and a thin finish.

Bottle marked bottled Aug week 4. Poured golden with a fizzy white head that disappears quickly. Aroma of grain, bread, and lemon. The flavor of grass, grain, and a light musty background. Medium body with a smooth texture. Just not hitting the spot though.

Pours a hazy, dull gold with a thin, fizzy and fast fading, bruight white head. A hint of caramel and light sourdough to the aroma, with some ciric fruitiness. Flavor is pretty weak and un interesting, sweet fruiy and yeasty notes with a hint of english hops. Boring and overcarbonated. Gotta say this would be o.k. as a summer beer but it was -30 with windchill while I was working last night, so not getting extra points for refreshing body.

Bottle from 8-pack (Aug 08). Hazy gold color, aggressively carbonated and light bodied. Not a whole lot of flavor, but also some packaged salami sourness. Forgettable, mostly.
