Commercial Description:
This recipe is a true craft ale brewed with only water, yeast, hops and malted barley, in keeping with the Bavarian Purity Law of 1516. We have designed it with a vibrant golden amber hue and a refreshing body. The mild addition of Kent Golding hops balances the generous amounts of caramel malts to give it a malty rather than a bitter finish. A special strain of California Ale Yeast gives the brew a slight hint of fruity aroma.

12oz brown bottle from The Lighthouse in Manchester as part of this brewery’s sampler 8-pack. Pours a hazy orange-yellow body with a half inch or so of off-white head. A very slight fruity grassy aroma, though hard to detect.... Tastes sweet and bready and slightly fruity toward the finish. On the lighter side of medium-bodied with ample carbonation. An easy-drinking

pours a bright semi hazey orange colour with a moderate sized head. Very nice citrus fruit aroma. with a touch of almonds, carmel and grapefruit. Overall, nice tastey beer- with a decent amount of hop character.

This is really nice, smooth, yet tasty. Darkish amber/copper-gold, it has a medium, off-white head that slowly diminishes to a wispy top. The aroma is bread, grain, flowery with a light earthiness, hint of pine; it’s a bit like a more malty Czech lager or an English bitter. The taset is similar, but with only a very light hoppy bitterness. It’s mostly light malty with toasted grain and hint of caramel but with nice, juicy hop flavours, a light lemony quality and very juicy. It is lightly sweet and tartly juicy with a light appetizing bitterness becoming noticeable near the finish.

Bottled. Clear copper colour with little carbonation and a thin white head. Aroma of caramel, green apples. Bland flavour, rather like watered down cider with some malt and a slightly bitter finish. Okay but nothing special.

Dark golden. Somewhat bland, vaguely appley nose with light caramel. More or less the same on the palate. Slightly watery in the finish. Definitely not a beer for guys like me.

Gold pour with off-white head. Slight aromas and flavors of pale malt, hops, and spicy yeast notes, but not much going on here. Move along.

Pours clear, yellow/orange, with a fine, white head. Aroma is pretty thin and grassy. Mouthfeel is moderate. Flavor is lightly fruity and nutty. Not all that bad.

On tap at the brewery. Pours a clear golden. Low malt characters. High carbonation. Thin bodied. Mild bitter finish. Kinda lagerish.
