Commercial Description:
This recipe is a true craft ale brewed with only water, yeast, hops and malted barley, in keeping with the Bavarian Purity Law of 1516. We have designed it with a vibrant golden amber hue and a refreshing body. The mild addition of Kent Golding hops balances the generous amounts of caramel malts to give it a malty rather than a bitter finish. A special strain of California Ale Yeast gives the brew a slight hint of fruity aroma.

Pale golden beer with a thin white head. Aroma is quite subtle with a bit of light apple fruitiness over a touch of honey and light pale malt. Easy to drink, lightly sweet and fruity.

Stale beer alert, suspended white gunk throughout the glass. Shame on Wholefoods for selling me beer brewed in Sept during the following March!Straw yellow color no head with moderate carbonation. Mild malt aroma with more hop coming through,. Prettyh sedate smell but a touch of butter and grass. Flavor is mellow and cuts right down the middle between sweet malt and dry hops. Decent beer but nothing special.

Bottle from a sampler pack from Whole Foods in Charlottesville. Pours a very pale golden color with a medium sized effervescent head. Sharp, metallic aroma, from the hops maybe? Taste is exactly the same. Thin. A little skunky. Forgettable.

From a 12 fl. oz (US) bottle brewed during the third week of July ’07. From an 8-bottle collector’s set. Pours a hazy. golden color with a very puffy, creamy off-white head. I am put off by the overpowerng yeasty aroma. But the mouthfeel is comfortable and smooth. The flavor is a tad too yeasty for my liking. It is so abundant that I can’t taste any of the hops or barley. Eh, it was okay.

Fairly clear gold. The aroma has a faint spice of hops, but the yeasty fruitiness is the stronger component. The malt is mild and this is a pretty easy-drinking beer.

Poured orangish straw color with thin head. This beer has a sweet malt aroma. Taste is ok for $1.79 I paid for the bottle, really nothing to outstanding here. Overall an average beer that is drinkable.

Slightly hazy orange tinted golden coloured body with a nice white head and a few bubbles rising from the bottom. Very nice, albeit not what I expect from a mild. Aroma of fresh hops, bread, yeast, wheat, coriander seed, bananas and grass - very interesting but not bad at all. Medium-bodied; Very mild malty flavour up front with some fresh hops and a grassy overture. Aftertaste is light and subtle - some sugars and some malt, but nothing else huge. Overall, a good beer with very mild tastes - not horrible for spring and summer drinking! I sampled this twelve ounce bottle purchased from Total Wine in Tampa, Florida on 25-February-2008.

Pours amber with a white head. Smells of fruit, toasted malt, some metallic hints. Tastes of floral hops, lots of toasty hints and a dry finish.
