Commercial Description:
This recipe is a true craft ale brewed with only water, yeast, hops and malted barley, in keeping with the Bavarian Purity Law of 1516. We have designed it with a vibrant golden amber hue and a refreshing body. The mild addition of Kent Golding hops balances the generous amounts of caramel malts to give it a malty rather than a bitter finish. A special strain of California Ale Yeast gives the brew a slight hint of fruity aroma.

This is really nice, smooth, yet tasty. Darkish amber/copper-gold, it has a medium, off-white head that slowly diminishes to a wispy top. The aroma is bread, grain, flowery with a light earthiness, hint of pine; it’s a bit like a more malty Czech lager or an English bitter. The taset is similar, but with only a very light hoppy bitterness. It’s mostly light malty with toasted grain and hint of caramel but with nice, juicy hop flavours, a light lemony quality and very juicy. It is lightly sweet and tartly juicy with a light appetizing bitterness becoming noticeable near the finish.

Got this one bottled at the brewery in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Dark yellow, slightly hazy pour with a filmy white head. Strawberries and flowers in the nose. Not much going on early on, typical hop sharpness with a creamy mouthfeel, but quickly rolling into a very pleasant fruitiness with notes of peach and apple. Finishes very clean with no aftertaste and no bitterness. This is a very smooth brew. It’s a bit blander early on than I typically like in my ales, but I really liked this one alltogether.

Golden color with a thick milky white head. Very mild hops and malt aroma with touch of light fruit. Dry milky malt flavors with a floral hoppy finish. Finish also has a touch of fruitiness that adds to the complexity. This ale, while not overly exciting, is a very good session type ale.

RATING #800: 12oz bottle from a 8pk sampler. Golden orange/ yellow color. Great lacing. Aroma of honey and malts. It has an ODD, nutty, spicy flavor. A sweet fruitness of goosebeeries. Finishes with florals and maltiness. Very low bitterness (almost non-existent). POST SCRIPT: As I wrote these comment I did not know the style. It shows on the bottle as simply An Ale. A Mile Ale is fitting. This beer is very unique.

Clear honey color with a medium white bubbly head. A subtle musty English hop aroma with a malt background. A malt flavor, chewy, again an English feel. Finish is dry. Very drinkable.

Bottle. Pours a hazy orange amber body with a thin white head. Floral sweetness and a brett y aroma, hmmm this one may have picked up an infection, very nice. Dry floral leather and some light fruits. Simple and very enjoyable.
