Commercial Description:
An American style fruit beer made with Wisconsin’s Door County cooking cherries and lager yeast. The tartness of the cherry is balanced with the sweetness from the 2-row barley and the flavoring of Mt. Hood hops.

12oz bottle from a mix pack. I finally got up the nerve to try this one that had been sitting in the fridge for quite awhile. It actually wasn’t that bad which is high praise based on some of the other Lakefront brews I have tasted. Not really my thing but not bad for what it is.

Experienced from a 12oz bottle in a pub glass. The nose shows some notes of fresh cherries, but this is somewhat overshadowed by a strong note of sulfur, indicating the beer needed a bit more time in the lagering tank. The palate shows fruit up front, but it tastes artificially sweet. Any sort of real malt or hop presence is lacking, leaving the beer to feel insipid across the palate. Overall, there are far better fruit beers to be had.

12 oz. bottle at the Shoreline Restaurant in Gills Rock, WI. Poured to a pint glass, a hazy red with a little brownish tint, and a slightly pinkish, offwhite head that reduced quickly, and left little lacing The aroma was that of tart cherries but a hint of band-aid put me off some. The flavor didn’t retain it too much, and finished on the dry side.

12oz bottle rated 8.22.09. Pours a hazy but bright pink/red with a nice white froth. Tart cherry pie aroma, pool water. Flavor follows, pool water and tart cherries with some light sugary pie crust. Not bad.

Bottled. Scarlet pour with off white head. Cherry and honey aromas. Thin mouthfeel with a burnt cherry taste. Bitter finish. Not the beers fault, I am not a big fruit beer fan. but it was ok.

NOOOO! Reddish pour. Aroma of cereal grains, corn, weird hops and some old cherries. Flavor is just bad. A bit yeasty, sour(in a bad way) artificial cherries...YUCKOLA.

Bottle thanks to 17thfloor. Cloudy ruby red copper with small white and pink tint. Aroma is grainy and cherry with some sweet soda. Flavor is fruit cherry flavor with soda alcopop likeness. Light to medium with almost watery like quality. Not the worst fruit beer but not the best one either, not bad. Not good, but not bad.

A huge pink head. Color of the beer is a deep reddish copper. Some sediment on the bottom of the bottles falls heavily through the pour. Aroma is tart cherries. Big cherry flavor sits midway between sweet and sour. This is a decent brew but I have to ask whether the world needs another fruit beer.
