Commercial Description:
An American style fruit beer made with Wisconsin’s Door County cooking cherries and lager yeast. The tartness of the cherry is balanced with the sweetness from the 2-row barley and the flavoring of Mt. Hood hops.

Bottle. Poured hazy orange. Nice, 3 inch fluffy head. Had to wait for it to settle. Looked like clouds. Nice lace on the glass as I drank. Aroma of fruit and yeast. Flavor of yeast, cherries not tart. Kind of sweet. A sweetness in the end from a mix of the yeast and cherries. That’s all this beer is. Lively carbonation. Medium bodied. Dry finish.

nose is inoffensive, really not much there despite the fruit. appearance is slightly darkened from ’pale’. flavor is quite tart, lightly sour. not much of any real malt to enjoy, mostly just fruit. this beer fails my ’fruit beer test’ -- all i taste is fruit, no hops/malt. still far from the worst ive sampled, but definately not something i would ever delve into again.

This is really not good. I’m not going to bother forcing down the rest of the bottle. Nasty color, uninspired flavor that is just sort of mixed up.

Hazy red/orange, creamy dense white head tinted pink. Bit of fruit in the aroma, but it’s plasticy and reminds me of a scratch-n-sniff book. Tart pie cherry balances the biscuit malt in a different direction than I expected. Dry cereal finish.

Sampled on 4/7/2009. This fruit beer pours a medium orange gold color with a pinkish tinge. Medium sized white foamy head, with good retention. The aroma is wheat and cherry. A medium bodied fruit beer. The malts are wheaty and grainy, with a semi sweet cheery flavor. The hops are spicy. The fruit flavor is rather nice, not too over the top, overly sweet or artificial tasting. Lively carbonation. Decent balance. Nice refreshing beer. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly sweet, with a touch of cheery coughdrop.

Pours a pinkish amber color with a pink head. Light aroma with a hint of cherry and some sweet malts. Flavor starts off sweet from the caramel malts then gives way to a slight tart cherry. Not really that good.

(bottle - 12 oz) Orange/red color with a thin white head. Aroma is very light with the lightest touch of cherry flavor. Some malts as well. Flavor has a little bit of cherry flavor at the beginning but the malt takes over. Smooth and sweet through the middle with a lightly bitter note at the end. Cherry flavor comes back on the palate at the finish. Not bad, but would be better with more cherry flavor.

Bottle. Poured a clear medium orange color with a tenacious off white head. Smelled of tart cherry, a bit of hay, and subdued brown sugar. Light to medium bodied and delicately sweet up front with a light tart finish. I tasted tart cherry, pale malts, and a dash of confectioners sugar. Not bad.
