Commercial Description:
An American style fruit beer made with Wisconsin’s Door County cooking cherries and lager yeast. The tartness of the cherry is balanced with the sweetness from the 2-row barley and the flavoring of Mt. Hood hops.

Bottle. Pours amber red with an off white head. Grainy aroma with light fruity esters. The flavor is rather light with cherry hints. Pretty uninteresting.

Easy drinker. Alot like a wine cooler. Cherry color up front and flavor in the background.

Pours clear copper-red with a thin off-white head. Light musty, earthy aroma which hints at cherries but doesn’t have any tart, sweet character. The body is watery and the flavor is rather weak, although the cherries lend an earthy tartness to the otherwise boring, bland lager body. I could kick a few of these back, however

Pour is bright ruby with a fluffy white head. Aroma is very sweet cherry and more sweet cherry. I can definitely taste the real and tart cherries in this brew. Not dominating but just hiding in the back. Brew is not as sweet as the aroma. I can taste a medium wheat character along with just a pinch of hop toward the finish. Not a real special brew but worth a try.

12oz bottle @ Good Microbrew in the Silverlake Neighborhood of Los Angeles. Pours orange with a bright white head. Nose is sweet with some cherries, the cold glass numbed the nose. Taste is decent with some cherry, a little too sweet with an astringent aftertaste.

Bottle: Hazy ruby pour with a white film of head. Aroma doesn’t much cherry at all- some pale malt, plastic, perhaps just a touch of marzipan in the back. Light body. Some pale malt is evident with an odd, mild tartness as well. Artificial tasting and slightly perfumy. A bit medicinal as well. Pretty vague, with little or no fruit character.

Crushed with Jakebra at the brewery. Kinda not good. interesting but overall probably a fruit beer to stay away from. No idea how New Glarus Belgian Red is so awesome, but it puts all other fruit beers to shame.
