Commercial Description:
An American style fruit beer made with Wisconsin’s Door County cooking cherries and lager yeast. The tartness of the cherry is balanced with the sweetness from the 2-row barley and the flavoring of Mt. Hood hops.

I actually favor this over Sam Adam’s cherry wheat beer- cherries seem less artificial in this case. Crisp not too malty and not too sweet. Frothy head and a slightly pink hue to this lager. A nice summer brew.

Bottle. Sweet and sour wood aroma with light cherry, which is sugary and has some cleanser quality to it. Pours pale pink with strong carbonation and a noisy lacing soapy beige head. Taste is cherried but but distinctly, and surprisingly, not naturally [and I know, because I have a bowl of cherries right here] - hard to identify exactly what is wrong. Light woodiness is nice but even the yeast overwhelms the fruitiness. Aftertaste reminds of pie crust. Crisp medium body sunken in some wheaty tones. Left wondering if I got a bad bottle or what, but this isn’t very good.

I like this one, its not too tart and the cherry flavors in both taste and aroma come through very nicely. it makes a good summer drinking beer.

The aroma is not what I was expecting but is still good; tart cherries and malt with a moderate amount of hop. The appearance is reddish with a haze and a huge head. The flavor is like the aroma but way too sour. The palate is thin. Overall it’s not my favorite.

Darker than expected with light tan head. Smelled faintly like cherries and some malt. The flavor was pretty standard lager with strong notes of honey. A stronger cherry flavor emerged as the beer warmed. Bonus points for not tasting like artificial cherry.

On tap at the Frisco Grille in Columbia, Maryland. Was a very nice looking red in the glass with a decent short-lived head. Aroma was a bit on the cherry side, but more malt and a little yeast smelling. the first few sips didn’t yeld much in the cherry department, but it was more noticeable later in the beer. Decent fruit beer, but nothing really spectacular.

12oz brown bottle from The Lighthouse in Manchester as part of this brewery’s sampler 8-pack. Pours a hazy reddish amber with virtually no head to speak of. Smells mostly of sour cherries. Tastes like sour cherries too, though slightly sweet. Somewhat viscous in mouthfeel, though medium-bodied. More tart than expected... Not the most drinkable beer certainly... Kind of medicinal. Definitely would take a pass on this one next time...

A very nice fruit beer. Aroma was cherry and wheat. Almost like Corn flakes with cherry. Pour was a nice burnt cloudy amber with a one finger off white head. Taste was grains and cherries with a nice tart and drying aftertaste. Nice carbonation and a very drinkable...even for those who don’t like fruit beers.
