Light fruit aroma, with a heavier malt component than I expected. The taste is what I found rather unappealing. Astringent and artificial notes are quite prominent in here, while the expected cherry flavor is very muted. Sweet malts and light sour notes are in here as well. Decent mouthfeel, but not quite what I expected. CaryTheDude (1114), Longmont, Colorado, USA

Kinda not good. interesting but overall probably a fruit beer to stay away from. No idea how New Glarus Belgian Red is so awesome, but it puts all other fruit beers to shame. kmeves (1081), Mount Pleasant, Wisconsin, USA

| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Jan 14, 2008 12 oz. brown, longneck bottle. No freshness date seen. Poured out a reddish straw color, with a fizzy tan head. Aromas are of sour pie cherries, along with some biscuit malt. Flavors are of sour cherries, chalky mineral water, some dry malts. No hops to speak of. Thin mouthfeel, too fizzy for my liking. Decent enough beer, but nothing to go out of your way for. MrBendo (1053), Swedesboro, New Jersey, USA
