| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | May 30, 2007 Hazed copper, foamy white head. Nose held soft notes of juicy cherry with touches of honey and breadiness. Soft tart cherry flavors are decently balanced by a light earthy bready tone. Light to medium bodied, fizzy carbonation, fruity finish. Nothing wrong with this beer. Refreshing and well made for those hot summer days... phishpond417 (1953), Madison, Wisconsin, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 11/20 | Jun 2, 2008 Pours a reddish-orange coloured body with a small white head. Cherry flavor is prevalent but is not as pleasent compared to Sam Adams cherry wheat. Aroma is of cherries, grain and pear. decent overall. | 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Apr 16, 2005 One of the first pickings of the April 2005 batch. Aroma is first and foremost tart cherries, and is yeasty and sweet. Those elements start to fade, and the lager smells suspiciously similar to a Cherry 7-Up. Color is amber rose with no head. Tastes sourer than expected. Some tart cherries, but the Cherry 7-Up similarity creeps up again - this time, however, it’s more like a diet version. Body is thin and slick. High carbonation; could use some more malts. At times, it seems like this one can’t decide which way it wants to go - a fruit beer, or an amber. Finish is sweet, sour and watery. Glad my wife like this one. Kevin (1920), Colorado, USA
| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 11/20 | May 31, 2004 bottle. looks like apple juice with a nice off white head. not much aroma, the cherries can barely be detected in the nose. taste was not what i was expecting, there might not be enough cherry taste to this, it is very understated. leaves an overly malty taste on finish. i think i’ll try the remainder with some east side dark i also have. i dont think it could hurt. Aromaof wheat, malts, and cherries. Flavor is light caramel, cherries, hops and a hint of citrus with a dry finish. JoeM500 (1876), Chicago (little italy), Illinois, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Oct 31, 2004 I love this brewery. It is a place every drinker should visit. This beer is a pure cherry monster, but suffers from one thing: it is cherry and not much else. Cough medicine cherry nose with a thin, pitty first sip. Cherry is so dominant. Malts are thin, maybe a bit caramelly. Cherry has the finish locked down. tart, dry. lingering! Decent in the bottle. Very different. Yum. BeerLimey (1873), California, USA
| 2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 2/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 7/20 | Jul 20, 2004 Reddish amber appearance, minimal head formation. Malty, doughy, cereal aroma with sweet maraschino cherry. Malty, slightly syrupy flavor, cherry is sweet but not dominant, in fact pretty subdued. Pretty light in the finish. Not as interesting as the concept, surprised by the high rating especially from top raters.
