| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 2/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | May 15, 2008 In the bottle from Beertopia. Pours a distinct reddish amber with a pale pink head. Strong cherry aroma, but the flavor is neither repulsively tart or sweet. This was surprisingly tasty and easy to drink for a cherry beer. Thin body, but certainly not watery, this had none of the typical cherry cough syrup qualities that I typically hate in a cherry beer. I’d even drink this again and that statement shocks me. keoki182 (305), West Bend, Wisconsin, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jun 15, 2008 Darker than expected with light tan head. Smelled faintly like cherries and some malt. The flavor was pretty standard lager with strong notes of honey. A stronger cherry flavor emerged as the beer warmed. Bonus points for not tasting like artificial cherry. Bubbly, nutty, slightly lactic nose. Some mild cardboard notes. Interesting and mildly funky. Good brew. kitschy (216), Nebraska, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jul 19, 2009 Tasted at 2008 Sunfest. Pinkish amber color. The taste is not too sweet, and not like candy - more like pie cherries. Palate is consistent with a lager. This is a refreshing beer, and very appropriate for summer. | 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jan 6, 2009 12oz bottle from the mix pack. Pours a reddish amber with a light pink head. Plenty of tart cherry and malt character in the nose. Sour cherry flavor with some hop and yeast. Sort of thin finish, but not a bad beer. Ernest (4515), Boulder, Colorado, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Oct 11, 2003 Head is initially average sized, frothy, off-white, mostly diminishing. Body is dark amber. Aroma is lightly malty (toasted bread, caramel), lightly hoppy (flowers), with a note of cherry. Flavor is moderately sweet, moderately acidic, lightly bitter. Finish is lightly sweet, moderately acidic, moderately bitter. Medium body, watery texture, lively carbonation. Light but pleasant aroma and good balance makes it very quaffable for a fruit beer. Not very distinctive, but I like the fact that this isn't like fruity soda pop. krisbierjaeger (844), dolores, Colorado, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Sep 7, 2002 bright whiskey pour with a head that made a big initial effort to make an impression: looked at first bloom like the fluff from an autumn cattail, but too quickly effervesced itself silly and then merely resembled a headless beer. smallish grain nose, some fruit: they say cherry. whatever. blindfolded i might have said "demure and unripe nectarines", or even "why the hell am i blindfolded?" the cherries become more of an issue in the flavor, they reside discreetly within a lightly toasty lager, but certainly make it more intriguing. tartness upfront mimics a brisk carbonation; medium sweetness and cherry overtones linger, embellishing the exit of moderate bitterness. performs nicely as a hard cider-like change of pace from "regular" beer. | 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Oct 21, 2007 Bottle: Poure with an energetic fizziness that settled into a 1/4-inch firm cover of tight bubbles over an orange-reddish body. The aroma is sour and medicinal. If you like sour cherries, you’ll like this beer. Their presence is quite evident in this puckeringly tart brew. Fun beer on a crisp fall afternoon watching football.
