theisti (986), Leawood, Kansas, USA Jul 21, 2008 12 oz bottle purchased at Metcalf Discount Liquor on 91st Street. Bottled in Apr WK 2 according to the bottle. Pour is clear golden ruby with a one inch off white head. Aroma of lightly toasted malt and floral grassy hoppiness. Aroma has earthiness and mineral in it as well. Taste is very nice, and reflects the nose perfectly. Toasty biscuit sweet maltiness accented perfectly by the slight bitterness of the hops. The mineral character is strong throughout giving this a very unique flavor. I drank and rated this prior to reading the commercial description, and was a bit surprised to see the hops are Cascade on this one. I would have guessed more of an English variety. The body was medium, and very drinkable. Nothing complicated in this one, but beautifully executed. amish_caravan (177), Winona, Minnesota, USA Jul 10, 2008 slight floral scent of hops. taste is of hops and a little caramel. kind of a sweet finish. Not a bad brew. IlanMan (472), Winona, Minnesota, USA Jul 10, 2008 Pour is dark golden with a medium white head. Aroma is very malty with some light hop characters. Flavor is malty with some deep caramel, light fruity characters, and deep hops. I mostly got deep flavor hops and not many aroma hops. Decent brew. Drinkable. shendrix (429), Waukesha, Wisconsin, USA Jul 7, 2008 Certainly a credible America pale, pouring much more orange than I was expecting, with a nose that made me think of crushed pine nuts. Far less hoppy than one of its Indian relatives, this beer tastes of biscuit, grapefruit, and pine. mcc5468 (28), USA Jun 25, 2008 Cloudy orange pour. Slight hop aroma. Slightly less of the hop level in the taste than I would like. Pretty good overall - I would describe it as an IPA-light.. I would drink again but wouldn’t go out of my way to buy it.
