Commercial Description:
This top fermenting amber-colored ale is brewed using generous amounts of malt and kettle hops. The trademark of this ale is its beautiful hop bouquet and taste that comes from a liberal dry hopping of the highest grade Cascade hops during the secondary fermentation. The malt firmness of this ale comes from the perfect mixture of two-row malted barley, carapils, and caramel specialty malts. The ale has an original gravity of 1060 and is fermented at 65 degrees farenheight which imparts the classic ale fruitiness to the brew.

A decent but hardly outstanding American Pale Ale, I found this be a pleasing but relatively mild-mannered APA flawed with some wateriness in its mouthfeel. Appearance was a very dark amber with only a bit of head. Aroma is very lightly hoppy with some non-descript fruitiness. Flavor is a medium amount of dry bitterness with a bit more of that non-descript fruitiness at the finish. Mouthfeel is a bit watery, but that didn’t inhibit the beers drinkability. I had this on-tap at the brewery.

Large amout of light white foam on pouring out the bottle. Hop aroma, but not overwhelming everything else. Pleasant malt flavors in the aftertaste that is well matched with the bitterness of the hops. Better then I expected!

Amber in color, clear, some lacing. Aromas are grassy, wih a hint of hopcit and grass. Good level of carbonation, medium weight and hop finish. Light caramel, grapefruit/lemon, bitters, horseblanket.

Intense hop aroma hit immediately upon pouring (didn’t even need to get my nose near the glass!) Quickly dissolving white head with a clear, medium brown pour. Spicy hop flavor is quite smooth...and nice on the palate. Agree with recent reviewers on the particular sweetness...almost that of brown sugar, that is evident in this ale. I definitely enjoyed this beer, which had nice fruit flavors in the aftertaste along with the distinguished hop flavor...a nice example of this style (APA)

(from notes). Bottle. Extremely hoppy nose for an APA. Sweet too, though. Nice cloudy amber appearance with a strong white head, leaves nice lacing. Well balanced with a hoppy kick in the middle. Spicy bitterness, smooth fullbody. A well-hopped pale ale.

(12oz bottle, bottled 2nd week November) Crystal clear amber body topped by large off-white head. Aroma is medium sweet, grapefruit/pine, some bread/caramel, apricot. Taste is medium sweet, grapefruit, some lime, cookie, light orange/floral. Light-medium body. Very nice take on the style.

Nothing. Yup, nothing on the nose. Honey colored with a medium frothy head. Limited carbonation. No hoppyness. No flavor. What happened? Does manage a very slight bitter ending. Very slight. Some hoppyness does come through at the end of the glass. Sadly uneventful, but wasn’t a drain pour.

Pours a clear orange copper color, topped by a thin layer of cream colored foam. Good webby lacing. Mild citrus and floral hop aroma. Tasty light citrus hop bitterness sits on top of a light toasted & caramel malt body. A hint of sweet fruit comes on in the finish. A nice citrus bitterness lingers in the aftertaste. This isn’t a wild pale ale by any means, but it is tasty and refreshing. Just shy of medium body, soft smooth carbonation, an interesting albeit mild beer.
