Aug 14, 2007 A very good dunkel, pouring nearly black with a light creamy head. The nose is malt and coffee notes, the palate has coffee liquor mingling with chocolate malts and caramel cream. Balanced by a nicely undestated hop content, but still a tad too cloying for regular drinking.

Original 2.4 Savannah, Ga. - Habersham Beverages - 12 oz bottle - part of a 8 bottle variety pack. Medium copper appearance, slight off-white head. Slightly phenolic aroma - faint toffee if you try hard. Phenolic notes drift over to the flavor as well. Some nuttiness, a hint of chocolate redeem it slightly, but still not a very pleasant tasting beer. Mouthfeel is thick enough though. Had better from Lakefront.

Aug 8, 2007 A nice Dunkel. Dark brown body, with a little bit of head. This is quite well-balanced, as there is no aftertaste, and a smooth coffee and chocolate taste. Drink one at the brewery or at Wolski’s and close the place down!

Aug 7, 2007 Very dark amber pour with a half-inch off-white head. Sugary sweet malty aroma. taste is drier than I expected: lightly toasted malt with a crisp finish. Mildy astringent on the tongue. Nice little dunkel.

Aug 3, 2007 Bottle. Brown sugar and barley malt aroma. Medium brown color with moderate head. Strong rye bread flavor with light hops finish. Dry for a dunkel.

Aug 1, 2007 Rich malt aroma, some coffee notes ditectable. Amber-brown color with a small almond head. Mild start not as sweet as I thought it would be. Moderate bitterness in the finish. A slight amount of funkyness might have gotten in to this batch but a good beer overall.

Jul 31, 2007 Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured a ruby-chestnut color with a medium sized tan head. The aroma was moderate dark malts. The flavor was mildly roasty and malty with a hint of floral hops.

Jul 25, 2007 12oz bottle from a 8pk sampler. Dark Garnet color. Foamy almond head. nice lacing. aroma of cherries, bubblegum and maybe some belgian yeast (weird?). Flavor is sweet, quick hop finish doesn’t last too long. Decent malt character, but not impressed.
