Eastside Dark The rich, coffee-like aroma and flavor of this fine Dark Bavarian style lager beer is derived from a precise blending of three different specialty barley malts, chocolate, black patent, and Munich malt. Munich malt is also added to bring about the creamy body of this malty brew that has an original gravity of 1060. The most impressive aspect of this brew is the perfect balance between the specialty malts and coveted Mt. Hood hops. Unlike many other dark beers, East Side Dark doesn’t have the bitter aftertaste associated with it. Instead, your palate is greeted with the rich body and balanced flavor that only this beer can deliver.

Poured a clear brown color with a minimal white head. Aroma hits you immediately with the typical lager smells followed by roasted malts and a hint of chocolate. On the Los you are hit caramel roasted malts and burnt toffee. Mouthfeel is light with a good amount of carbonation.

Toasted, dark malts, grain and bread malts, light caramel. Hazy, dark brown, small, frothy, off-white head. Light bitter. More toasted malts, dark grain and some bread malts, lively carbonation. OK Dunkel, nothing too spectacular though. Keg at brewery, Milwaukee.

Malty but thin with a bit of chocolate and some coffee. Dunkel that doesn't do too much to differentiate.
