3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
On tap at Pizzeria Piccola at the MKE airport. Pours brown with orange and reddish tines. Very little lacing. Aroma has chocolate with faint caramel/faint grape. Taste is of choco/caramel with dark fruits. Later nuttiness comes into play. It becomes more sour through the glass. A bit thin. Finishes sour and sweet, fairly short. It was interesting for a dunkel. It was overall not that interesting, though.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Reviewed from notes.
This was poured into a pilsener glass.
There was a dark brown close to black color with a one finger white foamy head that dissipated within about a minute leaving some light lacing sliding into the beer.
The smell had a roasty nutty to chocolate coating over top of a light banana aroma.
The taste was mainly sweet through the fruity and malty chocolate - ness.
On the palate, this one sat about a medium on the body with a decent sessionability about it. The carbonation was good for the style and for me as it was noticeable but not overbearing. I have to admit there’s a really nice smooth creamy banana finish.
Overall, what a really nice beer that seemed to show that this could be a great dessert beer.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Bottle from Cafe Hollander in Tosa Village, WI.
The beer has a cola body with hints of ruby. A quarter inch of beige head quickly fades. The aroma offers bittersweet chocolates, light coffee, brown bread, malt. Ok flavor. Mild sweetness with moderate carbonation. Middle of the road.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Pours a nice shade of brown, milk chocolate and bread on the nose. Caramel, bread, and chocolate on the palate. Not overly complex, but straight forward for what it is.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Twelve ounce bottle from Beer Of The (Every Other) Month Club, tasted on December 12, 2012. Dark brown ruby hue, small tan head that slowly left with fair lacing, nice sweet malty aroma with chocolate/bread/yeast notes, interesting sweet malty taste with chocolate notes. A couple of off notes in the flavor keep this from getting a higher score. Still, a respectable brew.

3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle from Ashur Liquor variety 8 pack: Created a thick foamy topping of head while the liquid was a dark tinted brown. In the nose, there is a delicate balance of caramel malts with a hint of honey roasted nuts. The flavor is simple and allows for the caramel malt to dominate but just as the aroma had lead me to believe, there is a slight profile of roasted nuts. As for the finish, it leaves behind an aftertaste of decaf coffee which makes this an all right American made dunkel.
