COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Pure Milwaukee Genius Series 3: Inspired by the energy and audacity of the Fearless Fixed Gear Courier, Lakefront ran smack into this arresting creation. It’s RED, it’s BOLD and it tastes DAMN GOOD. We could go on and on about it, but the fact is, you have one in your hand right now, so crack it open yourself. This one’s got an ATTITUDE.

I’m really trying not to be biased, as I am never remotely impressed with Lakefront. So, with an open mind...this still falls short. In fact, I wouldn’t put this in the red category but brown as it’s too nutty and malty. Not my favorite red by any means...but good for Lakefront standards.

355ml bottle. Pours a slightly hazy deep ruby amber, with a moderate off-white head, which lasts well and leaves good lacing. Floral and pine needle hops mix with robust toffee and rye bread malt notes in the aroma. Floral and prickling pine needle hops up front segue nicely into smooth toffee and a touch of port in the mid-palate, backed by lurking floral hops. These re-assert themselves in the finish, leaving a floral aftertaste. This is a nice example of the red IPA style, with its hops flavours very well matched to the richer malt notes.
