4.5 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
1. Look – A hazy amber-brown color ale with a large frothy off white color head.
2. Sniff – This is ale has a caramel aroma with a noticeable hoppy nose.
3. Sip – This medium bodied red ale is full of malty flavors, but has a crisp hoppy taste as well. Also, there is a significant amount of sediment in this ale giving it a hearty characteristic. There is a subtle grapefruit finish with hints of pine also.
4. Another Look – This is an excellent looking red ale and has excellent lacing.
5. Evaluate – Overall, this is my new favorite red ale. It has a sweet malty taste with a bold hoppy backbone. I would strongly recommend this ale to those who enjoy easy-to-drink ales. This unfiltered ale is a well-crafted and offers plenty to those seeking more from their beers.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
11/29/11. 22oz bomber. Dark red pour, hazy red under the light with a fair amount of sediment in the bottom of the glass, under a big, thick khaki that cuts to nothing fast and laces in disparaging sheets like thin spider webs. Bold, hoppy aroma, mostly floral and pine, with a hint of caramel and tropical fruits. Rich flavor of caramel and sweet malts combined with plenty of citrus - mostly lemon peel - as well as pine and a touch of coffee. I’m pleasantly surprised by this brew. Nice!

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle; poured a dark auburn type color with an off white head. Aroma of red malt, fruit, BO, earth, and caramel. Flavor was a bit light, almost a touch of wateriness, with all the flavor at the end. Ok.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle:   Deep amber, reddish caramel hued, large sudsy off-white head, fairly nice lacing.   Pale barnish musty grainy malt aroma, slight caramel, little bit of hops.   Pretty shallow on the tongue.   Not real meaty, malty but not heavy, hoppy but not real strong.   This to me seems to be much like a watered down Red Ale to me.   Thin body and mouthfeel.   Washes away too quickly.   Slight dirty earthiness, very soft tho, lingers.   Not big enough, pretty light and uninteresting.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
On tap @ Lakefront. Clear amber with an off white head. Aroma of caramel, biscuit dough and zesty citrus. Flavor is caramel malt and bread with a light hop bitterness. Medium body and a smooth mouth feel. One of the better Amber ales out there, good malt bill and nice mild hop presence.

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pours a cloudy orange/amber with a substantial off white head. Aroma is pine and malt. Smooth bready taste of sweet malt, caramel and light citrus and pine, a little woody also. Interesting, not as hoppy bitter as I expected. Alcohol well hidden. Decent brew.

Bottle @ home. Hazy, dark reddish brown appearance with a big bubbly, tan head. Lots of pine, caramel, light toffee, mild floral hoppy aroma. Pretty carbonated. Bitter, piney, organic, grassy hoppy, rich caramel toffee malty flavor. Slightly syrupy. Bleh.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
This beer pours a dark red orange color with a decent white head. There are caramel notes on both the palate and the nose. The hoppiness of this beer is quite noticeable and stronger than most red ales. A little different for it’s style but overall a well balanced beer.

3.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
12oz bottle from a buddy at work, thanks. Pours a slightly hazy reddish-amber color with a large, lacey off-white head. Looks excellent. Aroma is nicely hoppy - very citrusy and a little earthy - along with sweet malt. Surprisingly good smelling. Flavor is very hop-forward, with orange, grapefruit, earth, and pine, with some sweet caramel malt. Nice palate, rough with hops with medium body. Solid stuff.
