3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Pours reddish-amber with a quick off-white head. Nose is surprisingly hoppy and with the classic big, English-leaning bready malt coming forward. Flavor is even sweeter (and less hopped) than the nose, with very little finish. Carbonation is low and alcohol is not noticeable. Drinkable but nothing that stands out.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
12 ounce bottle into tulip glass, bottled on 12/11/2013. Pours moderately hazy/cloudy deep red-orange color with a 2 finger dense light khaki head with good retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Nice soapy lacing clings on the glass. Aromas of caramel, toast, brown sugar, biscuit, tangerine, grapefruit, orange peel, citrus rind, floral, grass, light pine, and floral/toasted earthiness. Nice and pleasant aromas with good balance of dark/bready malts and citrus hop notes; with solid strength. Taste of caramel, toast, brown sugar, light biscuit, tangerine, grapefruit, orange peel, floral, grass, light pine, and floral/toasted earthiness. Fair amount of floral/pine bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of caramel, toast, brown sugar, tangerine, grapefruit, orange peel, floral, grass light pine, and floral earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Nice robustness and complexity of dark/bready malt and citrus/grassy hop flavors; with a good malt/hop balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Medium carbonation and body; with a moderately creamy, smooth, and lightly slick/sticky mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is well hidden with only a slight warming present after the finish. Overall this is a nice amber ale. Good balance and robustness of dark/bready malt and citrus hop flavors; and very smooth to sip on. A nicely enjoyable offering.

Pours chestnut brown, frothy khaki head. Aroma is resin, citrus pith, with bit of sweet malt. Flavor starts if as a dry malt, finishes slightly sweeter. Palate medium body with a clean start and slight lingering sweet syrup finish. Overall, very drinkable, not complex.

4.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
This bottled brew from a bottle shop poured a small sized head of foamy finely sized very tan colored bubbles that were quickly diminishing and left behind a no visible carbonation opaque except at the edges dark amber colored body and a fair lacing. The nice aroma was floral sweet and malt hop. The sharp crisp mouth feel was tingly at the start and at the finish with a biting hoppy aftertaste. The strong flavor contained notes of bitter oak sweet crisp and hops. Delicious and one I would certainly like to have again.

3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
I have a mixed opinion on this one. The hops are sticky and the head is fluffy like no other. This beer tastes crazy fresh. But the flavor, isn’t all that good. I’m getting hints of liquorice or anise, Can’t get into it.

On tap at the Spotted Fox in St. Charles, IL. Nice deep amber color with an enjoyable hoppy finish. A very good American red ale from a brewery with the best tour. A must visit if in Milwaukee.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Had on tap in NZ. Nice dark copper orange hue. Bitter caramel and over ripe stone fruit on the nose. Apricot, Orange
slight unbalanced hop bitterness (but perhaps a lil cold) on the palate but a nice big american amber ale when all is said.
