COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Pure Milwaukee Genius Series 3: Inspired by the energy and audacity of the Fearless Fixed Gear Courier, Lakefront ran smack into this arresting creation. It’s RED, it’s BOLD and it tastes DAMN GOOD. We could go on and on about it, but the fact is, you have one in your hand right now, so crack it open yourself. This one’s got an ATTITUDE.

I’m really trying not to be biased, as I am never remotely impressed with Lakefront. So, with an open mind...this still falls short. In fact, I wouldn’t put this in the red category but brown as it’s too nutty and malty. Not my favorite red by any means...but good for Lakefront standards.

Amber pour with a thin white head. The flavor is mild and seer with a good hops balance. Very session able. It's good but it wouldn't stick out in a line up.

Very nice drink, smooth on the palate, not overly bitey. I think th e rye really rounds this beer out. I will definitely be buying more in the near future.

Had it out of a Growler. Pours a deep copper color with a strong white head. Dense alt aroma, with a sturdy malt/hop taste.

Listed 6.8% ABV, now billed as "American Red IPA." Pours a nice looking crimson to maroon with a decent khaki head that settles to a thick ring and leaves some awesome splotchy, soapy lace ropes. Nose involves dark red fruit, caramel, pine, spice, underlying apricot and grapefruit, some toast, some light chocolate. Decently sweet, pretty bitter. Medium bodied, fairly oily, decent action, a touch creamy, finishing toward dry with leafy herbal hops. Nice brew, definitely drinkable, lots of cool things going on.

12 oz bottle from the sampler case. This was a superior red IPA that belongs in the upper echelons of brewing and pale ales. Simply delicious!

bottled - nice reddish color and decent sweet aroma. Taste is nothing special though (although I just noticed that the bottle is almost a year old).
