COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Pure Milwaukee Genius Series 3: Inspired by the energy and audacity of the Fearless Fixed Gear Courier, Lakefront ran smack into this arresting creation. It’s RED, it’s BOLD and it tastes DAMN GOOD. We could go on and on about it, but the fact is, you have one in your hand right now, so crack it open yourself. This one’s got an ATTITUDE.

Some delayed stank in the end. Copper Falls water. Fog, not froth. The more that I drink it, the less that I like it.

12 oz. bottle. Pours a thick, well retained, tiny bubbled, ivory head, with some lacing, over a hazy dark amber (SRM 15) body.....nose is pine, resin from the hops, light toasted malts with cereal, biscuit, no esters, balance slightly to the hops.....taste is slightly sweet malts, with light floral tones, moderate pine, citrus leading to a medium bitter finish, no esters, balanced between malt and hops.....mouth feel light of medium body, no alcohol, slightly sticky, carbonation makes a creamy, tingly sensation, with light acid. This is a nice ad-mixture of elements of an APA and Amber styles It is either a malty APA or a hoppy Amber. BJCP 7/3/15/4/7

Bottle. Pours reddish brown with same off white head. Nose is caramel and maybe red apple? Taste has some hop bitterness. Some spice and dryness in the aftertaste.

>> Clear tea red pour, tan foam. Good lace. Nose is a tad vegetal, spicy cabbage, Munich malt. Taste is bitter, nutty, soapy, dry with lemon. Not offensive, a red IPA of sorts.

On tap at Brunzies. Mild sweet malty with neutral fruit and light hop notes. Coppery amber clear with creamy light beige lacing head. Medium body with medium carbonation. Starts moderately sweet with nutty notes. Neutral fruity hops with very mild bitterness at the finish. Smooth after.

This is honestly now my favorite red. I had this on tap, AT the brewery, many times. Very nice in color and appearance (amber red, as it should be). Complex flavor for a red. Aroma is standard for a red, nothing crazy but not boring.

Bottled. Chestnut color with tiny off-white head. Spicy aroma, light pine, caramel malts, mild clementine/grapefruit. My wife says it smells like if a clementine and a grapefruit made sweet, sweet love. (She made me write that. She controls everything I do. Send help. Oh my God, she is watching as I type this.). Flavor is of slightly stale straw, grapefruit flesh, light black pepper. Mildly alcoholic. Reviewed on my 10th anniversary under the careful review of my wife. Hi Lauren!

Poured from the bottle into my favorite pint glass. It looks red if you hold it up to the light but it looks brown sitting on the table. I like that they made a beer that’s not an IPA that is 6.8% that’s different. Best served COLD, and don’t be fooled by the first beer, must have a second (or 3rd, or do like me and drink the 6) to truly appreciate. You get your moneys worth with this one!

On tap, poured into a sampler glass. The aroma is heavily malty with a note of cooked butter (which fades), caramel, and toasted grains. It pours a hazy caramel and red color with a light brown, soft head. The head retains very well, but only leaves behind a light lace. The taste is a medium sweet with a medium light bitter. The texture is oily with soft carbonation and a full body. The finish matches the aromas with the butter replaced by more of a rye character. The rye is most prevalent in the aftertaste with a bit of sweet citrus.
