Bottle dated in that chalky yellow; 10/09/2013. Was kept refrigerated at least. Pours out a cloudy reddish brown with tan sticky head. Smell is malty sweet with hints of grapefruit. It's not bad. Tastes more of the same, has a nice citrus twang going with the sweet malt. Mouthfeel is medium heavyness. Overall a fairly drinkable beer but there are better options. ---Rated via my tastebuds and my brain.

(Kiev 2016) 355 ml. bottle. BBF 05.10.16. Cough syrup amber with a small tanned head. Nose is pine resin & cough syrup, bit too heavy on the biscuit malt, light sugar. Taste is medium herbal hops, bit too much biscuit & toffee, tad too sweet, low bitterness, herbal pine, tad too sweet, lightly bland, low medicinal hops in the finish. Creamy toffee & biscuit body. Doesnít really pop but still a pleasant enough and easy beer, not bad, could have been more but not bad as it is.

Good beer that will get you drunk quick, only have to hold your breath for the swigs of the first 1-2 bottles, after that just rolls down your throat.

UPDATED: MAY 26, 2016 12oz bottle to tulip. Pours ruby/amber, solid beige head. Aroma of biscuit, orange rind, grapefruit, mango, perfume. Taste of same with astringent bitterness barely balanced with a huge malt bill. Lots of rye to balance. Mouthfeel is heavy syrupy.

Burnt umber color with a moderate, manila folder colored head and decent lace. Aromas of stewed fruit. Some sweet caramelized malt and herbal hops in the background. I keep sniffing, but not much more to this one. Sweet toasted malt in the front. Some mildly rancid nuts work their way in along with some licorice and bitter herbal hops. Just not my type of brew. Iíd call it a IIA (imperial Irish ale).

ThIs amber had a sweetish nose and flavor with a bit of citrus/orange and pine to go along with ample caramel. Mouth is weak like most lakefront beers Iíve had, but otherwise good.
