COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This unique stout combines the flavor of roasted malts and Milwaukee’s reknown FUEL CAFE coffee. The fine balance of mild hops, the gentle acidity of choice cofee and the sweetness of the barley makes this an unforgettable brew.

12 oz bottle-pours a dissipating brown head and black color. Aroma is dark fruit-some tart, chocolate/molasses-dark malt, secondary earthy hops. Taste is dark fruit-some tart, coffee/chocolate/molasses-dark malt, secondary earthy/chickory hops. Aggressive carbonation, porter like. Thanks jwc215 for sharing this.

Bottle from Belmont Station... Poured black with a thick, light brown head. Roasted coffee beans and malts on the nose. Thick, full, and foamy palate. Big coffee notes with sweet sugars from coffee and toffee characters. A little bit of mellow hops for a good balance.

Pours a pitch black colour with a foamy tan head. The nose is of roasted malt with some bathwater and tannin atringency. Suggestions of berries more commonly seen in porters comes to mind, as well. The flavour brings forth that advertised coffee, but it isn’t really rich, just acidic and phenolic. The aftertaste is probably the best part that makes me continue to sip. The body is medium to thin for the style and finishes quick, though the linger of coffee remains for some time. I’m really torn about how I feel about this one.

This is a pretty decent beer for cheap. It smells like coffee. Tastes like a simple lightly sweet stout with coffee. The flavor is one dimensional but nice.

Pour is a black with a small tan head. Aroma is a slight roast with some coffee. Flavor is again a nice roast with a slight coffee. Finish is kind of watery and there is not much body to this one. Its just ok but nothing to revisit.

12 oz bottle from the brewery and my trip there in February (Milwaukee, WI). Pours a very dark pour, near black, opaque, with small brownish head that dissipates to a film. Can’t get too excited about that. Aromas are a nice sweetness, chocolate and cream with caramel pushes some light bitterness from the coffee and roast. Initial has a decent body, a little light, with sweet chocolate and caramel, pushing some lighter roast and coffee further into the body and back towards the finish. Light, with dark chocolate coming more in the finish with some roast. Light roast and dry bitterness on the finish with a dollop of chocolately sweetness. Light in body for what I like in the style, but some decent flavors it seems, as the coffee is moderate in finish and aftertaste.. Underwhelming on the whole, though. Probably not a beer I’ll revisit.

12oz bottle from a mix pack. I’m finding that I’m not a big fan of this brewery. While I did like this better than most of their other offerings I have tasted so far it really did not do alot for me. It tasted thin and the flavors that did come out were not pronounced enough to give it any real character. There are so many better choices for this style out there that there is no point in wasting time with this one.

Bottle. Pours a black body with a tan head. Rich roasted coffee, choc malt, licorice and lactose. Some light molasses and brew coffee. Nice bitter almost ashy coffee mineral flavor. A bit watered down and definitely lacking a full bodied alcohol feel to it but still decent for the abv content.
