Aroma is pure coffee, not much else. Taste is exactly the same as the aroma. Thin body and a little watery. puboflyons (600), New Hampshire, USA
| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 5/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Mar 29, 2008 From a 355 ml. bottle brewed July 2007-Week 3. Pours a dark brown-black with no head. It really looks like coffee. Aroma definitely has coffee in it and I can’t pinpoint many other aromas except maybe some barley. Pretty watery for a stout though. The flavor is of coffee, cocoa, toffee, etc. I don’t know. Not bad for what it is but not my cup of tea.... Arayaga2 (949), Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Mar 29, 2008 Coca Cola colored with minimal head or apparent carbonation. Aroma is coffee and malt, but not so much. Taste is a tart and smoky coffee which makes a for a lively mouthfeel.. WisconsinBeer (521), St Paul, Minnesota, USA
| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Mar 23, 2008 Pours a nice dark color with an espresso head. Sorry, but for a stout this is a disappointment. Thin, somewhat watery, minor coffee and chocolate flavors. This is like Stout Light. Not what I was hoping for. OSLO (826), Perth, Australia
| 2.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 8/20 | Mar 17, 2008 [Bottle] Pours dark brown with a fairly small tan head. Aroma is dominated by sharp, almost sour coffee and light milk chocolate. The taste is sour, aggressive coffee, and really bitter--especially in the finish. Thin mouthfeel. I really found this to be unpleasant. daknole (2891), Plantation, Florida, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Mar 15, 2008 I was very intrigued by this beer until I tasted it. Too bitter and not enough body for me. The aroma was pretty nice, but overall a subpar beer. shackinetics (132), Florida, USA
| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Mar 13, 2008 Black or dark brown with mocha colored finger of head. Looks great, but it’s mostly down hill from there. Aroma of some bitter yeast, vinegar, with the touch of coffee. Mild chocolate/coffee flavor, but very simple and pretty disappointing. Mouth feel was extremely watery and thin with very little alcohol present. Basically tastes like a really watered down (cold) coffee. No complexity or palate at all. Bummer. | 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Mar 10, 2008 July 2007 - Dark pour, small head. Aroma was of roasted coffee. Strong coffee flavor, lots of bitterness and acidity, touches of lactic notes. I like coffee stouts, so I liked this...but it was pretty average, at best.
