Commercial Description:
This unique stout combines the flavor of roasted malts and Milwaukee's reknown FUEL CAFE coffee. The fine balance of mild hops, the gentle acidity of choice cofee and the sweetness of the barley makes this an unforgettable brew.

Bottle purchased at Wine Warehouse, C-ville. Pours nearly black with no head. Licorice in the nose... that’s about all. Bubbly mouth, with flavors of hops, with some coffee, but not good coffee. Eh, not impressed =(

Im a sucker for a tasty coffee stout. This one is a little light on the coffee and roastiness though. Seemed a bit thin, and maybe even watery. Good coffee aroma and some coffee taste, but really lacks the roast malt kick and strong coffee kick associated with some other stouts. Not bad by any means, a very smooth drinker for a coffee stout.

Pitch black but not really too viscous. Looks like used Harley shovelhead oil. Aroma is mild coffee with a tad of roastiness. No head. Not as strong as many stouts and is rather mild. This brew is easy for the taste buds of a lager lover to enjoy. For some reason I was expecting an imp stout and now I see why it is so frienly, its a sweet stout. Comes across more like a dark american lager that a stout. Very enjoyable coffe flavors without the intense bitterness. Just enough coffee to make it interesting. Very little carbonation but certainly more than a dry stout. Very acceptable brew, I liked it. Leaves no offensive bitter aftertaste.

I thought this was the best of the lakefront beers i tried by far, but still not great. Pours dark brown color with froathy tan head. Aroma very much bitter strong roasted coffee. Flavor slightly sweet chocolate mocha flavor with biting dryer finish. Overall, enjoyable.

Bottle from variety pack. Pours a deep black with thin brown head. Aroma is lightly sweet, of chocolate and coffee. Flavors come in a bit more on the burnt side, heavily coffee-ish, with roastiness and chocolate. Finish is lightly bitter, moderately sweet, with a lingering mocha flavor. Feels a touch powdery in the mouth, with somewhat harsh carbonation and a watery thin texture. There might be some fruit in the sweetness but it’s minimal and the coffee outweighs the malt but overall it’s decently balanced.

Bottle courtesy of slob. Pours dark brown with a slowly subsiding creamy tan head. Smells of sweet malt, soy sauce, some coffee, chocolate. Tastes malty with some underlying bitterness. Some chocolate present on the finish. Hints of coffee, but not overwhelming.

Bottle sampled. Pours black with a small tan head. Aroma of dark roasted malts, and strong coffee. Flavor follows the aroma with some notes of chocolate and finishes slightly bitter.

Bottle. Pours a dark brown with a bit of a tan head. Aromas are dark malt and coffee. Has the flavor of overly sugared coffee... way to sweet for my palate. yuck!!!
