| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Jul 16, 2007 12 oz. bottle. Pours black with a fizzy tan head that dissipates quickly. The aroma is roasted malts and a hint of coffee. The flavor has the same roasted maltiness, but increases the coffee by a factor of ten. The mouthfeel is medium and the finish is pretty dry. I liked this one more than most on the site apparently. hopslovin (180), Fort Wayne, Indiana, USA
| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | Jul 12, 2007 Black pour quickly vanishing tan head. This is a big disappointment. Smells musty sweetness. Mild coffee flavor. Watery finish. radagast83 (1289), Fairfax, Virginia, USA

It didn’t have that strong of an aroma, and the flavor was a little weak to me. Perhaps I drank it too chilled, but I’ve had other beers that were "brewed with coffee" and this one just pales entirely compared to them. gunhaver (1025), Tampa, Florida, USA

Not bad, but it’s also not that great compared to other stouts that are far more complex. jeffc666 (1889), Fairfax, Virginia, USA
