COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This unique stout combines the flavor of roasted malts and Milwaukee’s reknown FUEL CAFE coffee. The fine balance of mild hops, the gentle acidity of choice cofee and the sweetness of the barley makes this an unforgettable brew.

Deep red-brown with tan head. Black licorice, coffee, smokey peat aroma. Light sweetness fades into bitter finish that fades away to nothing quickly. Light body didn’t help this stout.

Pours very dark brown, with a brown head. Aromas of rich black coffee are quite nice. The taste is a bit one dimensional, but in a good way. Straight bittersweet dark coffee, roasted coffee grounds, and dark chocolate. Ends on a bitter chocolate note. Warms you up, a bit syrupy. Quite tasty.

Dont care too much for coffee, or Lakefront. So this is not my favorite beer.

Bottle @ home, courtesy of Cavie. Black appearance with a brown head. Roasty coffee, dark chocolate malty nose. Very roasty, espresso, dark chocolate malty flavor reminds me a lot like many of the Scandinavian coffee stouts. Quite roasty and not all the smooth. Bleh.

Whole Foods Market, DC sixer ($10): Pours a black color with a head that completely disappears. Aroma is surprisingly of coffee and chocolate malts. Taste is much in the same line. I don’t think that it is well balanced particularly or even that good. Somewhat sweet, but not exceedingly so. I agree it is unforgettable, but not exactly in a good way.

very aromatic fresh roasted coffee on the nose; strong and flavourful coffee burst at the start, but soon falls flat. After the coffee flavour comes this astringent and lingering sourness that throws the balance out of whack. It also lacks the crisp finish due to under-carbonation. Where the tums at it’s now giving me a heartburn.

Dark black pour into thick, dark brown head that quickly dissipates into melting lacing as it sinks into a swirl of foam in the center of the glass. Aroma of dark roasted coffee and chocolate malt. Initial flavor of sweet malt and roasted coffee beans that slowly fades into dark roast coffee with hints of sweet milk chocolate in the bitter dark chocolate finish.

Pours Heavy and Dark with the distinct aroma of coffee right off the bat. Taste is dark rich and sweet with a bitter offset of hops and coffee. The finish is pronounced and sweet.
