3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 11/20
Pours a deep brown with a foamy brown head. Smells of coffee, chocolate and a bit of malt. Big dark-roasted coffee taste that overpowers everything else. Very little bitterness. Slightly sweet. Medium mouth, but not very oily. Coffee stouts have to strike a good balance to be noteworthy. This one is missing the stout.

I love coffee. I love beer. Lakefront made a highly drinkable beer that is both beer AND coffee!? Its a good beer, not the best coffee stout I have ever had, but a great effort. Really give it a try.

From notes: Poured hazy cola-brown with a 1-finger tan head. Pleasant aroma of roasted coffee. Full body, lightly oily. Flavor of black coffee, with a light burnt note in the finish.

Tasty coffee stout. Nice foamy head, dark color, and enjoyable coffee flavor. Not too bitter and good combination with sweet taste.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 15/20
Easily one of the strongest coffee flavored brews I’ve tasted within memory. Possibly a bit bitter for those who drink their morning coffee with cream and sugar, but I enjoyed the true coffee notes. A beer for the true coffee lover!

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Poured from 12 ounce bottle from Beer Of The (Every Other) Month Club, tasted on January 11, 2013. Opaque brown hue, small brown head, nice firm aroma of coffee (mostly) and malt, initial sweet mouthfeel followed by coffee and roasted malt, some astringency. A little light for a stout but enjoyable.

3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
An enjoyable brew that is both full of flavor and well balanced. Has the same ’laid-back’ quality I have experienced with some of their other beers too - which is a good thing (for a change).

3.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20
Bottle pour of deep brown with amber edges and a tan slightly lacy head. Aroma of big sweet toffee with roasted malt and fruity coffee beans. Taste of smooth iced fruity coffee that leads into a sweet malt. Smooth slightly creamy mouthfeel with a short acidic finish. Over all good coffee stout that has the fruity notes of great fresh good quality coffee.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 13/20
Pours a very dark brown. Medium, creamy light brown head, mostly lwsting. Aroma is bitter, semi-sweet, chocolate, coffee, some lactose, moderate toasty, fair hoppiness. Flavor comes together a little better. Smooth coffee, milk chocolate. Nice balance. Medium body, creamy, rather clean palate, not much happening. A decent, rather easy drinking brew.
