12 oz bottle poured into an imperial pint. Pours a dark brown to black with little to no head. Smells of roasted malt, light coffee and chocolate. Tastes of coffee, light chocolate and roasted malt. Pretty straight forward and not complex. Thin body. Wouldn’t buy again.

3.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Pours a thin tan head on a dark brown colored body.
The aroma is a nice mixture of dark chocolate, roasted malt and milk.
The taste has lots of coffee notes: bitter dark chocolate, sweet roasted malt and milk. Mild bitterness at the end.
The texture is crisp with a soft edge.
Great aroma and a descent tasting beer.

2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20
"for the style (this one was the reason i bought the mixer) it was a bit of a letdown. everything from aroma (some coffee and sweet malts) to the body, look, etc...all average. pleasant enough, but not something i’ll go back for. i was hoping for more..."

4.4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Delivers more coffee than stout tastes, and a bit sweet, but that’s perfectly fine with me!

3.3 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Sweet stout with a lot of chocolate on the front and some hints of vanilla and caramel. Perhaps it was because I was expecting more of a coffee stout (given the name), but a rather limited roastiness and a sort of one dimensional flavor profile. There is certainly some coffee on the nose, but overall just a decent stout.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Darker opaque brown with some golden bits. Dry coffee, damp, earthy. Touch of vanilla, some molasses. Bitter, some sweetness, caramel. Heavy, chewy mouthfeel. Some oiliness. Decent beer.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle poured into a tulip glass.
A - Pours jet black with a small one finer tall mocha colored head leaving little to no lacing down the glass.
S - Smells of coffee, dark roasted malt, dark fruits, and a touch of vanilla. It smells a bit stale to me and it isn’t even that old.
T - Starts off with lots of dark roasted coffee up front slowly giving way to a mix of dark roasted chocolate malt and a light vanilla sweetness. The body is very thin and it makes it very hard to finish the whole thing. The finish has lots of dark roast, lingering for some time.
M - Heavy body and flavor with moderate carbonation. Thin, watery, feel with lots of dark roast in the finish.
O - I have had better. I think it has potential but it fell well short of my personal expectations.
