Commercial Description:
This unique stout combines the flavor of roasted malts and Milwaukee's reknown FUEL CAFE coffee. The fine balance of mild hops, the gentle acidity of choice cofee and the sweetness of the barley makes this an unforgettable brew.

Bottle... Dark ale with a mid-sized, creamy, beige head. Good retention. The nose is lactic (buttermilk) and chocolatey. No trace of coffee in there as I pull a whiff in. Sweet flavor with cola and chocolate. Again, no coffee. Medium-bodied with gentle carbonation. Slightly tangy, sweet finish. Thanks to headbanger for the bottle!

the aroma is very sweet with little coffee smell, it pours i brown head that immediatly goes away. the colour is a very dark brown. this beer has a very sweet flovour with little to no coffee after taste. it leaves the palate wanting more not much there, it sort of rushes through your mouth and then it is gone. i really was expecting alot more.

Pours a four finger dark brown head that fades instantly leaving no lace. Black color. No carbonation and heavy bodied. Roasted coffee/sour cherry nose. Roasted/burnt coffee, sour cherry syrupy flavor, no aftertaste. Not what I was expecting, Redhook had a much better coffee stout. $1.29 for a 12oz bottle from Blue Max Liquor Burnsville, Mn. Brewed in March and should be good now.

12 oz bottle - I just bought this, but it looks like it was bottled in March. Pours an opaque black with a very thin dark brown head that quickly fades to a thin collar.

The aroma is sweet lactic cream, grains, some sour tart fruits and a little roasted chocolate. I don’t get any coffee.

The flavor is sweet cream with sour tinges and some earthy grains. As it warms there is some slight coffee in the finish. The mouthfeel is thin to medium and watery.

Overall, I’m not impressed. I’ve liked the coffee stouts I’ve had in the past and this is a very sub-par example. I get very little coffee out of this. I wonder if this bottle might be bad with the sour notes. I have had this once before and remember not being too impressed, but I don’t remember it being this bad.

Bottle from Bello Vino in Ann Arbor. Pours a nice, dark almost-black with a dark tan head. Aroma is roasty with a bit of smoke and mild coffee notes. The body is thin - a bit disappointing. Flavour is alright, typical roasted malt notes, with some caramel and coffee, but not as much of the latter as I expected, and a touch of sourness in the finish. A pretty middle of the road stout - I didn’t hate it, but it didn’t wow me either.

The aroma of this beer was amazing and it has a very nice appearance. My problem was that it was not strong enough. It smells like caramel and coffee and tastes the same yet I was hoping it would be a little stronger.

Got this one bottled from the brewery in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Beautiful very dark brown pour with a dark tan head that dissippated into an off-white lace rapidly. Nose of cold coffee and not much else. Very pronounced sweetness of kopi manis, with a very milky mouthfeel, with lots of bitter chocolate, allspice. Incredibly smooth. Finishes gently and very satisfyingly. Amazing.
