May 13, 2006 12 oz bottle, via JCapriotti. Dark brown pour, almost black, with a small light brown head that faded to a thin ring. Mostly roast on the nose, but a little grainy. I’m getting a slight hint of coffee and a little chocolate. The flavor is thin and a little sour on the finish. Roasty malts and a slight dry yeastiness up front, but I’m not getting any coffee flavor at all. Mouthfeel is very watery with active fizzy and foamy carbonation. Overall, pretty let down by this one. I’m a huge fan of coffee beers, but this doesn’t pass as a coffee flavored stout to me.

May 6, 2006 (Bottle 35,5 cl) Pours a deep, dark brown - almost black - with a wee orangey hue. Neat, creamy beige head. Malty, lightly burned aroma perhaps with a touch of coffee. Perhaps a whiff of butter also. Medium-bodied with lots of roasted malt. Lightly burned, bitter finish. Luckily that touch of butter never made it to the flavour. 170406

Apr 29, 2006 Pours a dark, heavy stoout with an orange/dark head. Aroma of a light malty brew with a fine flavorful taste. A very good stout with decent coffee flavor.

Apr 26, 2006 An opaque brown beer with a thin brown head. The aroma is sweet with primary notes of roasted coffee, but also a faint note of butter. The flavor is sweet roasted combined with light notes of malt, coffee, and vegetables.

Apr 24, 2006 Bottle poured a translucent reddish black with a large lasting brown head. Aromas of roasted malts, coffee, bitter chocolate and a hint of vanilla. Palate was medium bodied and smooth. Flavors of bitter chocolate, and a touch of coffee with a smooth lingering bittersweet finish. A fairly tasty stout, the coffe was’nt overdone in fact it is’nt all that noticeable.

Apr 21, 2006 Black color. Aroma of malt and fudge. Good body structure; malty and with good roasted malt; some coffee and roasted malt; very light sourness. Balanced, well blended, original, complex. This is a good beer Henrik!

Apr 18, 2006 Bottle. Black colour with a brown head. Butter, vanilla, coffee aroma and a sweet light sour, vanilla, light coffee taste. Medium body with a sweet sour finish.

Apr 17, 2006 Hm I would have to try the coffee to be real fair here but since I cannot, I will do my best. A little bitter and heavy I liked the true coffee flavor, but wanted it to be a little sweeter and creamier. If you like bitter black coffee (I like mine with cream and sugar) it would be great. Points for being unique.
