COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This unique stout combines the flavor of roasted malts and Milwaukee’s reknown FUEL CAFE coffee. The fine balance of mild hops, the gentle acidity of choice cofee and the sweetness of the barley makes this an unforgettable brew.

Little aroma -- some roasted. Deep black in the lass with a half-inch tan head. Smooth, full palate. Tangy finish shows some hops -- orange and coriander. Drying. Very little coffee presence, which is nice so the coffee doesn’t overpower the beer. Still, a little thin for a stout.

12oz Bottle Pours out a dark brown topped with a very little head. A nice coffee aroma and on the tast as well.

very oily looking dark brown appearance with no head to speak of, even with some prodding. aroma is a lot of coffee and chocolate and some walnut roasted malt stuff going on. the flavor was not as pleasant with tons of harsh black coffee, but not good coffee, more like Foldgers instant. the chocolate was more like hershey’s syrup than milk chocolate. very very oily mouthfeel. ick. i drank too many of these considering i didn’t enjoy it.

EithCubes (3340) - GERMANY - MAR 10, 2007
Bottle. Sweet and grittily toffeeish nose with strong overtones of roasted coffee. A little mocha. Very dark ruby-brown with a medium-brown head. Taste is all about bitter coffee with a helping of roast. Ugly sour bitterness, in fact, some nice roast with a little sweetener and a little more sticky cherry. Sour cherries in the dry roast finish. Medium oily body. Kinda misses the mark.

Bottle: Dark brown with a tan head. The aroma is tangy like many sub-par stouts. It has a creamy, cheap diner coffee flavor and is dominated by malts along with some basic nut flavors. Thanks BuckeyeBoy!

Bottled. Subtle roasted coffee aroma. Light bodied, easy to drink. Good roast flavor. It’s solid enough to drink again, but no rush.

A beautiful stout. Nearly opaque black with a tan head. The aroma has hints of coffee and chocolate, maybe a touch of caramel? The palate is actually a bit weak for a stout, a little watery. But the taste is very nice. Smooth with flavors of coffee and bitter chocolate. The aftertaste is appropriately bitter, like that of a cup of coffee.

Braudog (4607) - Hampton, Virginia, USA - FEB 7, 2007
This poured from the 12 oz bottle with a black, maroon-tinted hue and a nice rolling-hills head of tan froth. The aroma was vaguely roasty, but not as buzz-inducing as a Starbucks -- which is what I expected. More disappointingly, the flavor had barely the lightest twist of Columbia’s finest bean. In fact, the more I drink, the less I sense any java. Instead I get a vaguely roasty brew with a bit of a milky aspect ... pretty much a let down. (#2690, 2/7/2007)

12 oz bottle. Pours to a deep brown to black color, with a thick, creamy, white head, and a lively carbonation. The nose on this beer is inviting, with some good aromas of coffee, roast, and dark chocolate. The palate is lean, with flavors of dark malts, chocolate, coffee, and light roast. This beer finishes with more good flavors of coffee, roast, and chocolate up front, then ends slightly bitter, with a dry, roasty flavor. A decent example of coffee stout, with good aromas and flavors of coffee. Not the most impressive example of coffee stout out there. I would have enjoyed a little more coffee character in aroma and flavor, but this is still a nice beer, and a great one to match with desert, or to enjoy after a big meal.
