| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Feb 27, 2006 Cloudy dark brown gives the impression of black. Decent khaki head. Stale coffee in the aroma and the flavor is a bit on the bland side. Not much more than the stale coffee in the flavor. PattyBoy (302), North Liberty, Iowa, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Feb 23, 2006 Pours black, tan head that looks good then fades away quickly. The taste was acidic and sour. The roasted coffee flavor I was expecting was in the finish. Not impressed. crizay (1050), Brook Park (was Tampa,FL), Ohio, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Feb 8, 2006 Pours a very dark brown, pretty much no head. Very thin and watery with a coffee aftertaste, wasn’t very sweet at all just a watery stout taste, it wasn’t bad but it also wasn’t strong enough. JohnnyOS (646), Golden, Wisconsin, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jan 27, 2006 Pours a hearty dark brown with tan head that lasts; slightly less than average lacing. Aroma of sweet toasted malts, coffee and something sour. Flavor is of a malted coffee, some hoppiness and an acidic bitterness on the finish. nick76 (2648), Tampa, Florida, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 9/20 | Jan 10, 2006 Updated: Jan 11, 2006The aroma is sweet and it does have coffee and toasted malt as you might expect, but it also has a not so nice soy sauce smell. The appearance is dark brown (nearly black) and it has a typical stout head. The flavor does have coffee but it is also acidic. The palate is average and the aftertaste is bitter. Sadly, no kick no buzz. barleyPops (1079), Quad-Cities, Illinois, USA

| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 14/20 | Jan 7, 2006 Bottle pours an opaque black witha very large milk chocolate colored head. Arolmas of mainly chocolate malts and dark roasted but sweet malts. I don’t notice much coffee here yet. Slightl acidic sour porter like aroma as well. Flavor was more of the coffe I was expecting but mainly on the aftertaste. Yes, quitre thin and kind of a light weight at 4.4% and low on the unfermented sugars. Not bad. Now that I think of it the delayed aftertaste is like the combo of cigarette buts and coffee grounds. Thanks to Degarth for this one.
