Commercial Description:
This unique stout combines the flavor of roasted malts and Milwaukee's reknown FUEL CAFE coffee. The fine balance of mild hops, the gentle acidity of choice cofee and the sweetness of the barley makes this an unforgettable brew.

As advertised! Looks like coffee, smells like coffee, tastes like coffee. One of the best attempts at coffee beer. However, I like my coffee light; probably would be great with creamer over ice. A little thin bodied for a stout.

This was ok - but not as great as I hoped. Good coffe nose, nice dark brown pour, short tan head. Tasted a little to much like coffee a little fake. Otherwise a descent stout, but not the best, also a little watery.

12 oz bottle pours black with a short tan head that fades to a film and laces a little down the sides of the english pint glass. Aroma is straight up roasted coffee. Flavor is quite the same. A touch of chocolate comes through also. Bitter finish. Palate is medium bodied. A very drinkable stout and tasty to a coffe lover like myself. Rather one dimensional though but definitely drinkable.

Bottle courtesy of CharlesDarwin. Bottled the fourth week in December of ’04. Pours a jet-black with a thin chestnut head. Though subtle, the aroma is all rich, roasty coffee. Bitter, sour and roasty malty flavors throughout. Some hints of coffee. A little bit of a sour, coffee-esque bitter finish. This has definitely aged too long. I’d like to try a fresh bottle sometime.

Has a great coffee ground aroma which matches the beer name/ Black body witha tan head. The flavor was weak like watered down coffer with some bitterness. Leaves a coffee aftertaste on palate.

Pours a dark brown color. Smells of dark chocolate, coffee, roast. Taste is dark chocolate more then anything with coffee supporting it from the background. The chocolate was too over the top in my opinion.

Very dark with a tan head that fades away to nothing. Nose coffee, molasses, and wood smoke. Flavor is reasonably rich, coffee is definitely there but not overpowering, balanced with deep molasses sweetness. Somewhat astringent and bitter. Reasonably full body, but feels a bit undercarbonated.
