3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 hophead75 (2005) - Largo, Florida, USA - JUN 27, 2007
12 oz bottle from Julio’s. Pours a cola like dark brown with a quickly dissipating off white head. Aroma is of coffee and chocolate. Taste is of light coffee, light notes of chocolate, not too much else. A bit thin bodied. Not that bad though, no off flavors.
3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 DocLock (5779) - Lower Pottsgrove, Pennsylvania, USA - JUN 19, 2007
Bottle from State Line. Deep blackish pour with 2-finger tan head. Aroma is roasty chocolatey malt, slight nuts, figs, and chocoff. The flavor is roasty malty up front, with some chocoff notes at mid-palate, and slight figgy hops at the finish.

I bought a six pack of this because I’d never seen it & figured I’d try it. Big mistake. It took me two of them to realize what I found familiar about it: it tastes like coffee-infused Yuengling. A good try, but it definitely falls short.
2.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20 carl4beer (512) - Fairfax Station, Virginia, USA - JUN 8, 2007
pours dark brown with a fizzy, off-white head. aroma of coffee, malt, a bit of cocoa. not much going on here... there is a crisp zestiness, then nothing... nothing... nothing... is it ok to just smell a beer and not drink it??
3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 HighGravity (926) - Baltimore, Maryland, USA - JUN 8, 2007
Nice tasty coffee beer that really has a very evident coffee flavor. Nice for an after dinner beer.
3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 CharlesDarwin (2570) - Peace Dale, Rhode Island, USA - JUN 8, 2007
12 Oz Bottle. Pours a deep brown, with a orangish glimmer. Rimmed in a growth of coffee and cream head, rocky. Aroma bubbles forth with some percolator coffee, nips of burnt chocolate and a salty tang of marzipan. Flavor is similar, with a particular tongue curbing tang meddled with oak, chocolate dust and a faint afterthought of coffee. Not nearly enough body for a Sweet Stout, nor anything to keep the beer hanging on except for some almond skins and fading toffee. As with most of their line...meh.
3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 scraff (2118) - Baltimore, Maryland, USA - MAY 30, 2007
Black, thick kahaki colored head. Nose had nice notes of wet coffee grounds, roasty milk chocolate, and soft toasty caramel tones. Good dark coffee flavors up front that balance out with lightly acidic blackened chocolate note. Faint dried citric tones aim for late balance late and seem to pull it off well. Decent complexity for a lower ABV. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, dry bittersweet finish. Not bad at all. It’s a good session stout for coffee lovers...that’s it....
