Rich roasted coffee, choc malt, licorice and lactose. Some light molasses and brew coffee. Nice bitter almost ashy coffee mineral flavor. A bit watered down and definitely lacking a full bodied alcohol feel to it but still decent for the abv content. zach8270 (2085), Henrietta, New York, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Mar 28, 2009 (bottle - 12 oz) Dark brown color with a thick and creamy tan head. Aroma is rich and malty with lots of coffee, roasted malts, and some cream. Flavor is sweet from the malts and cream and has a nice bitter counterpoint from the coffee. A nice acidity comes from the coffee. Smooth and roasty and very nice. VitaminR (428), Colorado, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Feb 28, 2009 Freshly ground coffee beans with grass and lemon peel puree. Simply black, deep tan frothy sea foam head. Tart chocolate with tannic iced coffee bitterness. Medium to full body, big carbonation, burned coffee and dust finish. Seemed to lack some focus, not bad, just better coffee-style Stouts out there. GeneralGao (3051), Iowa City, Iowa, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Feb 27, 2009 Bottle. Poured a nearly opaque dark borwn color with only a bit of ruddy light shining through. The head was thin and brown, but lasted a decent while. Nice enough aroma including the likes of coffee, milk chocolate, and toffee. Medium bodied with moderate carbonation. There was a bit of acidity up front, but some delicate sugars emerged toward the end. Coffee, caramel, cherry, and roast nut elements graced the flavor. Pretty tasty. lithy (1650), Knoxville, Tennessee, USA

Aroma of green coffee, roasty malt. Taste is bigger roastiness, coffee grounds linger. GMUcrew7 (360), Mason, Ohio, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Feb 21, 2009 Pours jet black with a small dark tan head that dissipates quickly. Roasted coffee aroma as expected. Similar flavor, some coffee, a little watery. The body is a little too light. If they upped the ante on the flavor and body it would be pretty good, as it stands it is rather forgettable (contrary to their description). BeerHawk (1175), Huntsville, Alabama, USA

Aromas of coffee (as expected), light roast, and vegetable funk. The flavor had coffee, chocolate, and roast. Medium body, smooth, and a coffee aftertaste. shadey (1496), Rochester, New York, USA
