Pours a dark black that allows hints of light, sits ink with a one finger frothy light tan head. The nose is smooth chocolate, upfront pungent coffee, mocha?, roasty, definitely earthy malts coming through. The flavor is a tad metallic, some soy, balancing coffee flavor with some bakers chocolate. Bitter coffee and grain. Tasty. fakepurseninja (777), Washington, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jan 7, 2009 You can smell the sweetness of this off the pour - cocoa bits and light coffee notes sprinkled with some peaty, earthy notes. Decent but not interesting - despite the description; definitely forgettable. noncaloric (607), Madison, Wisconsin, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 2/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 17/20 | Jan 4, 2009 Pours darkest brown with a thin foamy tan head, quickly fading to a ring. Full, earthy aroma of coffee and dark chocolate. Flavor follows: the roast barley flavors harmonize well with both the bright aromatic and dark dusty elements of the coffee. Finishes on the roasty side. Lively in the mouth, but somewhat thin. timfoolery (484), California, USA

It may be brewed with special coffee, but tasted more like old, fermented coffee. Really odd. otismulligan (34), Yardley, Pennsylvania, USA
