noncaloric (601), Madison, Wisconsin, USA Jan 4, 2009 Pours darkest brown with a thin foamy tan head, quickly fading to a ring. Full, earthy aroma of coffee and dark chocolate. Flavor follows: the roast barley flavors harmonize well with both the bright aromatic and dark dusty elements of the coffee. Finishes on the roasty side. Lively in the mouth, but somewhat thin. timfoolery (482), California, USA Dec 30, 2008 Scored from DTM’s trip. I wasn’t sure what to think about this one. It may be brewed with special coffee, but tasted more like old, fermented coffee. Really odd. otismulligan (34), Yardley, Pennsylvania, USA Dec 26, 2008 bottle-pour into pint glass. dark black, with little head. dark malt coffee aroma. coffee flavor acents the stout. mild carbonation. sweet caramel coffee afterrtaste very nice indeed. . this is a great coffee stout. thooper41 (384), Oregon, USA Dec 25, 2008 12oz bottle: appearance is pitch black with quick fading light brown head, aroma of deep roasted malt and coffee, flavor is not to complex just roasted malt and coffee again. not to bad i hate coffee but this beer brings out some good qualities in it. Creamy vanilla flavor with a good amount of coffee. Could be a bit stronger on the finish, but good stuff overall. j12601 (1149), Poughkeepsie, New York, USA Dec 21, 2008 Bottle. Pours a rich dark black with very little of the deep tan head showing up. Slight alcohol smells are hidden behind a rich roasted smell with coffee and malt notes. Body is thin to medium. Flavors are subdued, as is the finish which is faintly smoky. I am not getting a whole lot of stout, more coffee mostly. stangger (155), Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA Dec 16, 2008 12ozer.
