Commercial Description:
This unique stout combines the flavor of roasted malts and Milwaukee's reknown FUEL CAFE coffee. The fine balance of mild hops, the gentle acidity of choice cofee and the sweetness of the barley makes this an unforgettable brew.

Big coffee aroma. Big coffee taste. But that may be it. Some nice roastedness in the finish and aftertaste though. Mouthfeel is ok. A little one diminsional on the whole coffee thing.

Fantastic thick brown head floats on top of a black body. Aroma is of sweet milky coffee with some chocolate undertones. The flavor is mostly like a dry stout but with smooth coffee backing. Damn good! I like how coffee doesn't dominate the flavor, it just provides a nice touch to an otherwise easy drinking stout.

Dark chocolate aroma with some hints of vanilla. Actually no, the vanilla is from aerosol can I just sprayed in the bathroom whose droplets landed on my head. Fully opaque body with the brownest head I have ever seen on a beer. Head is large and leaves thick web of brussels lace. Very enjoyable on the palate. Has a long chocolatety finish. I am a little concerned that the coffee is going to keep me up tonight, but alas, tomorrow's Sunday. Scores high for drinkability, but has enough punch and complexity to keep things interesting. I wouldn't go so far as to say it's a session beer, as it is a litle too heavy for that. It remains to be seen how effective this is, but a beer brewed with coffee is a great idea for counteracting the depressant effects of alcohol during a long night of drinking.

Jjet black, small tannish head with so-so lacing. Aroma of coffee beans. Slight roasted malts as well. Forwardly burnt malts... no real coffee flavor coming out. Coffee seems to be somewhat missing, other than in aroma. Finishes slightly thin, with just the usual burnt malt flavors.

12 oz bottle purchased at Metcalf Discount Liquors on 91st Street in Overland Park. Kansas. Bottled March wk4. Pour is clear black and ruby with a big and active 3 inch tan head. Head settles down fast with no lacing to speak of. Aroma of milky roasted coffee. Nice roasted malt also comes through. Taste is nice roasty affair, not to heavy on the coffee or the milky sweetness. There is also a cherry sweetness present. Nice quaffable stout. Palate is on the thin side for a stout, but allowed the roast to take front stage. Nice one.

Pours a four finger dark brown head that fades instantly leaving no lace. Black color. No carbonation and heavy bodied. Roasted coffee/sour cherry nose. Roasted/burnt coffee, sour cherry syrupy flavor, no aftertaste. Not what I was expecting, Redhook had a much better coffee stout. $1.29 for a 12oz bottle from Blue Max Liquor Burnsville, Mn. Brewed in March and should be good now.
