COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This unique stout combines the flavor of roasted malts and Milwaukee’s reknown FUEL CAFE coffee. The fine balance of mild hops, the gentle acidity of choice cofee and the sweetness of the barley makes this an unforgettable brew.

Malty toasted coffee aroma I Iiked. The head was very flat, dark brown coloring was ok.Light sweet coffee taste somewhat syrupy texture. Just a barely ok bottled stout.

Opaque black color, with a decent tan head, that doesn't last too long. Sweetish, malty aroma, have to struggle to pick up any coffee notes. A fairly thin mouthfeel, with the roasts of the coffee and the malts playing on the tongue. Just too watery and not bold at all. I can only catch a bit of coffee in the aftertaste, unfortunately. I'm a strong, as-dark-as-you-can-drink-it coffee head, so I'd like a bit more. The taste in my mouth after sipping is better than during the sipping, so I'm pretty disappointed.

I really like this. Not as heavy as I expected for a stout, the coffee flavour is held in check by a slight sweetness - vanilla? - that almost makes this taste like a cola when cold. But still identifiably a stout.

Rich, deep dark color with a slight tan head. Th aroma is that of a faint weak coffee. The taste is lackking but you can pick up the coffee and slight mocha flavor. The linger is weak and I think that this is the weakest coffee stout I have tasted....good thing this is last for night and I don’t care!!!

Bottled. Subtle roasted coffee aroma. Light bodied, easy to drink. Good roast flavor. It’s solid enough to drink again, but no rush.

UPDATED: OCT 7, 2009 ~ Purchased this 12 oz bottle from New Beer Distributors in Manhattan, NY. Pours black with a healthy tan head that diminishes quickly. The aroma I get out of this is chocolate, followed by hints of coffee and roasted malts. Taste is slightly sourish, and I didn’t really pick out any of the coffee. For a stout, the body is a little on the thin side. Overall, this is an interesting beer (interesting in a weird sort of way). Thank God for the Mix-a-Six! ~

The strength of this beer’s aroma is that it’s not strong at all. Coffee notes can be detected, but they’re not overpowering. Pours almost jet black, with a tan head (I love it, reminds me of the oils on top of a nice espresso!). The flavor is not heavy it all, it’s moderately firm in your mouth, and overall a little muddled. The coffee flavor doesn’t come through right away, it’s a creeper. All in all though I think the not-so-intense coffee flavor makes this beer very drinkable. Not an instant winner, but definitely something I’d buy again.

UPDATED: JAN 24, 2007 The aroma of this beer was amazing and it has a very nice appearance. My problem was that it was not strong enough. It smells like caramel and coffee and tastes the same yet I was hoping it would be a little stronger.

Great beer for the coffee drink. Very strong coffee smell and taste. Full bodied taste and dark rich color.
