COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This unique stout combines the flavor of roasted malts and Milwaukee’s reknown FUEL CAFE coffee. The fine balance of mild hops, the gentle acidity of choice cofee and the sweetness of the barley makes this an unforgettable brew.

Bottle poured. This beer pours very dark with little to no head. The aroma is a really nice coffee with earthy qualities. However that's the best for this beer. The coffee flavor reminds me of coffee left on a warmer too long. The coffee flavor overwhelms any chance of the malt or hops flavor getting through. -- cheers

Bottle at Cohill’s. Pours black with little head. Big coffee aroma and big coffee taste or should I say expresso. I like the idea of the coffee stout but this may be a little too much dark roast coffee flavor for me but a good one for those who like a strong coffee.

On tap at brewery into plastic cup. Pretty refreshing for a stout, kind of like a less hoppy Guinness and without the creamy head. So basically a pretty mild stout. The coffee character is barely detectable. But hey, it’s a nice patio out here, and nothing about it is offensive to the mouth.

Nitro pour at the Lakefront tasting room. Dark brown fading to thinner milk chocolate at the edges. Thick, frothy tan head. Smooth aroma: nutty coffee, chocolate, a bit of soil. More fruit in the flavor, with lots of red grape, more wet soil, a little mint and a touch of acrid beans. Sensual medium creamy body, but with fairly high, pinching CO2. Fruity finish.

TL;DR over-roasted coffee in a rather burnt (yet otherwise light) stout. The coffee is there and provides it some extra (much needed) flavor depth. If it only lived up to the brewer’s summary of the brew.......

Wanted this to be good, and really is nothing special. I taste the coffee, but zero depth, also very weak. Not great, decent, but nothing close to memorable

Bottle at home. Pours very dark brown to black. Think tan head. Aroma is coffee and some roasted malts. Flavor follows with nice coffee, some dark chocolate, roasted malts. Creamy mouthfeel. Very nice beer.

Coffee, cocoa, and nuts in a relatively mild aroma. Bitter start with roast coffee, followed by a sweet finish. I like sweet stouts, but this isn’t going to be everyone’s cup of tea.

Bottle. Dark brown with a small head. Strong chocolate and coffee. Super malty and watery thin.
