COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This unique stout combines the flavor of roasted malts and Milwaukee’s reknown FUEL CAFE coffee. The fine balance of mild hops, the gentle acidity of choice cofee and the sweetness of the barley makes this an unforgettable brew.

Pours an opaque dark brown with a thick, pillowy tan head. Aroma of coffee and roasted malts, sweet overall but rather restrained. Taste is another matter completely, with an assertive coffee flavor dominating. Acidity of the coffee is rather high, making for a sour-sweet flavor. Sweetness of the malts adds to this profile, but there is also some bitterness noticeable as a result. Mouthfeel is a bit thick but far from oily, with a sharp tingling from the carbonation. In conclusion, I wouldn’t call this a great stout, but it is definitely a great coffee beer. One for the coffee geeks.

12 oz bottle bottled in November 2010 and served in a pint glass (from Sept. 2011 notes). Pours opaque and nearly black with a towering head that quickly settles to a rather thin, creamy, resilient, dark tan top Aroma has coffee and dark roasted malts in about equal strengths. However, the coffee component becomes dominant in the taste and even more dominant in the aftertaste. T- As advertised, there is plenty of coffee flavor this brew. Too much black coffee in that it doesn’t allow the dark malt to shine as it should in a stout. Aftertaste of coffee with some faint roasted malt and fainter hops and smoke. More bitter and sour than sweet. M - smooth but with some hops/carbonation tingle; semi-dry finish. Near medium body.

Nice coffee taste and aroma. Thin on the tongue. Sweet and good balance. No head. Malty. Nice. Just needs more body. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

12 oz bottle poured into an imperial pint. Pours a dark brown to black with little to no head. Smells of roasted malt, light coffee and chocolate. Tastes of coffee, light chocolate and roasted malt. Pretty straight forward and not complex. Thin body. Wouldn’t buy again.

Tap at Dig. Coffee nose. Smooth body, sweet flavors of coffee, chocolate, chilis and a bit of grounds. Meh.

Pours a thin tan head on a dark brown colored body. The aroma is a nice mixture of dark chocolate, roasted malt and milk. The taste has lots of coffee notes: bitter dark chocolate, sweet roasted malt and milk. Mild bitterness at the end. The texture is crisp with a soft edge. Great aroma and a descent tasting beer.

"for the style (this one was the reason i bought the mixer) it was a bit of a letdown. everything from aroma (some coffee and sweet malts) to the body, look, etc...all average. pleasant enough, but not something i’ll go back for. i was hoping for more..."

Delivers more coffee than stout tastes, and a bit sweet, but that’s perfectly fine with me!

Sweet stout with a lot of chocolate on the front and some hints of vanilla and caramel. Perhaps it was because I was expecting more of a coffee stout (given the name), but a rather limited roastiness and a sort of one dimensional flavor profile. There is certainly some coffee on the nose, but overall just a decent stout.

Darker opaque brown with some golden bits. Dry coffee, damp, earthy. Touch of vanilla, some molasses. Bitter, some sweetness, caramel. Heavy, chewy mouthfeel. Some oiliness. Decent beer. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
