This unique stout combines the flavor of roasted malts and Milwaukee’s reknown FUEL CAFE coffee. The fine balance of mild hops, the gentle acidity of choice cofee and the sweetness of the barley makes this an unforgettable brew.

Pours an opaque dark brown with a thick, pillowy tan head. Aroma of coffee and roasted malts, sweet overall but rather restrained. Taste is another matter completely, with an assertive coffee flavor dominating. Acidity of the coffee is rather high, making for a sour-sweet flavor. Sweetness of the malts adds to this profile, but there is also some bitterness noticeable as a result. Mouthfeel is a bit thick but far from oily, with a sharp tingling from the carbonation. In conclusion, I wouldn’t call this a great stout, but it is definitely a great coffee beer. One for the coffee geeks.

Darker opaque brown with some golden bits. Dry coffee, damp, earthy. Touch of vanilla, some molasses. Bitter, some sweetness, caramel. Heavy, chewy mouthfeel. Some oiliness. Decent beer. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle poured into a tulip glass.

A - Pours jet black with a small one finer tall mocha colored head leaving little to no lacing down the glass.

S - Smells of coffee, dark roasted malt, dark fruits, and a touch of vanilla. It smells a bit stale to me and it isn’t even that old.

T - Starts off with lots of dark roasted coffee up front slowly giving way to a mix of dark roasted chocolate malt and a light vanilla sweetness. The body is very thin and it makes it very hard to finish the whole thing. The finish has lots of dark roast, lingering for some time.

M - Heavy body and flavor with moderate carbonation. Thin, watery, feel with lots of dark roast in the finish.

O - I have had better. I think it has potential but it fell well short of my personal expectations.

>> Nitro foam atop a dark red pour. Toasted bread nose. Taste is green jalapeńo style coffee and huge cloying sugar. Dusty finish. Hard to get through. Decent.

bottle @ John’s Grocery / Iowa City IA --- Clear dark ruby brown color, brown head cover, bands of lace. Good aroma of chocolate and malt. Taste is roasted malt that grows as it moves to a lightly bittered finish. Simple, straightforward, enjoyable.

On draught at 10th Annual North American Organic Brewers Festival. Color of cola. Aroma is coffee with cream and sugar. Taste is sweetened coffee, milk, and toasty, roasty malt. Light for a stout, but enjoy the coffee flavors.

Really wanted the coffee to come through in a powerful way, but was left disappointed. First beer from this brewery and was not overly impressed, but may try more due to the tasty labeling. One more miss though and it will be my last from this brewery.

Very mild stout. The coffee is quite light, and there is not many aggressive stout flavors either. Easy and pleasant to drink, but nothing stands out too much to me.
