3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
12oz bottle acquired in trade with CaptainCougar (thanks!). Poured a deep and muddy mahogany color with an averaged sized off white head. Aromas of cinnamon, nutmeg, honeycomb, and some citrus. Kinda reminded me of one of those Potpourri bags. Tastes of cinnamon, nutmeg, honey, brown sugar, and citrus. On the sweeter side. Some alcohol in the finish.

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Lagerish mouthfeel with surprisngly sourness within a lager. It works, with orange and spices following. Imagine a toned down cantillon. Some beige transparency and quality aromas.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
I have really enjoyed trying all of the deifferent holiday beers I have been finding lately. This beer pours a dark amber color with a thin light beige head. Aroma immeditattely reminded me of cinnamon-flavored dental floss. Orange smell was also present. The flavor consisted of spices, hops and honey and while slightly unbalanced it was still enjoyable with a rather dry finish.

3.9 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
12 oz bottle.
It pours a deep cola color with a big, fluffy off-white head. The head just sticks and sticks, it lasts for ever. The lacing is pretty good too.
This one smells amazing. I smelt something similar with Sam Adams Winter Lager but this one just blows that one out of the water. All of the spices are easily detected: orange peel, nutmeg, ginger, and clove.
The flavor is big and bold. It tastes like Christmas. Lots of caramel, the aforementioned spices, and a lot of citrus lead the flavor charge. There is a bit of gingerbread character as well. As you go the oak appears and adds an extra layer of depth.
The mouthfeel is nicely carbonated, it is very smooth. It is a bit cloying but that is expected at this abv, and the alcohol presence is pretty low considering the abv.
This is the quintessential holiday lager, no doubt about it, I thought it would be overpowering but it was smooth and delightful

Draft. Boozy caramel malt aroma (a bit medicinal while it was cold). Dark brown with moderate head. Sweet orange-caramel malt and bourbon flavor. Very smooth and nice. One of the better Christmas beers.

3.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
A birthday clown does his best to spread a festive atmosphere, sprinkling loads of nutmeg and cinnamon onto the children, as they look back quizzical...He juggles a few sweet oranges, which is appreciated throughout all this aggressive spice, but, still, the celebrated are unimpressed...In a last-minute, top-of-the-head choreography, he balances a blob of caramel on his goofy red nose and the buds appreciate the valiant effort...A smile, but no exhilaration...

3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pours chill hazy deep coppery with some ruby edges and 1-finger off-white head. Aroma is orane zest, caramel malt, spices, mild honey. Tastes orange zesty, with a solid caramel malt backbone, and some spices, honey, and hops throughout its life cycle. This one is decent enough to make me glad to have bought a sixer.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
12oz bottle, from Dilly Deli. Bottled October, Week 4, 2012. Whoa, I had no idea that this was much higher than 7% when I drank it at the bar. Nice nose - honey balances out the malt and spices. Nutmeg. Some clove. Some cinnamon. Medium body. Light, smooth carbonation. No stickiness or lingering viscosity in the finish. Mostly clear amber / brown color. Minimal head, no lace. Spicy taste, light bitter. Light sweetness from the honey. Solid and interesting holiday brew. Also interesting that it’s a lager, rather than your traditional holiday ale. Got to give it an extra point too, for sneaking that alcohol by me so stealthily

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle. Dark orange amber, average off-white head. aroma is heavily spicy, also caramel and orange. Flavours of nutmeg, all-spice, candied ginger, candied orange, dark toffee. Nice creamy mouthfeel, medium bodied. Good balance, absolutely no hint of the potent ABV! I was fully prepared for a weak, watery holiday-spice-clone--- I was totally wrong and pleasantly surprised!

3.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle. Muddy cola colored pour. Minimal head. Aroma is sweet honey, cinnamon, and maybe some nutmeg. Some body to this but still a lighter palate. Clove and cinnamon on taste with some sweetness. Wouldn’t guess the high ABV.
