Timed to coincide with the holiday season, a very special lager is brewed with honey, oranges, and spices. This beer uses two pounds of honey per pound of malt in its brew, making it an exceptional fortified holiday specialty beer which will keep for years. The spices and hops balance the sweetness of the honey and malt to give this lightly hopped beer its perfect flavor.
Alcohol ABV varies from 9.5% to 11% each year

Pours coppery with an off white head. Aroma is sweet and spicy: cinnamon, ginger, and allspice. Flavor is sweet with the aforementioned spices being nearly overpowering. At least at 3.99 the sixer was a bargain.

The aroma is very spicy with caramel malt and citrus. The appearance is deep red amber with an average head. The taste is like the aroma. The palate is smooth. Overall this is a worthy holiday beer.

12 oz bottle that was part of the Winter 2012 World Market 9 pack, courtesy of my in-laws. The pour is brown copper with a small light tan head. The aroma is cinnamon, sweet fruit (maybe apple cranberry), and quite heavy on the holiday spices. The taste is big on the potpourri spice of the nose, along with the cinnamon and the sweetness from the fruit. The palate is medium bodied, soft carbonation, lingering spice in the finish. Alcohol present in the finish.

Dark red brown. No head. Nutmeg, cinnamon, molasses. Sweet with a small amount of bitterness. Alcohol is apparent and upfront, heavy body. Fairly straightforward, but tasty. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Nice rich brown with thick white head. Nose of clove, cinnanmon, and malt. Heavey mouthfeel with sweet mid palate and drying spicey finish. Flavors of malt, clove, orange spice, cinnamon, malt and honey like vanilla. Not bad though almost overdone.

Bonus bottle from Hopscotch. Thanks Eric! Poured a big amber with a huge, 2 inch thick gargantuan off white head. that shows no sign of fading soon. Aroma is very sweet ( i can smell it from a foot away) with lot of spices, honey, nutmeg. Head hasnt moved a 1/4 of an inch. Tastes almost like a cold, alcoholic mulled cider with spices, though the high abv is not particularly noticeable. I usually hate this style. This is a well made spiced beer, bit still, I just dont dig it. A little overcarbonated and a bit of an icky palate.

Bought this at the brewery. It had nice notes of honey and citrus on the nose after pourin deep brown. On the palate it seemed heavy with some notes of cloves, corriander, and nutmeg.

Bottle. Spice aroma, nutmeg, orange, cherry, light honey. Deep murky mahogany brown tinged with ruby, and a lacing, nicely tanned head. Acidic, tart, even slightly whiskyish taste, sour cherries and oranges with allspice and a great deal of ginger. A little stale caramel. And man, kinda boozy! Guessing 9-10%. Light-medium body. I’m guessing this would pair well with certain types of holiday food, but here, in warmer times, she’s just out of place.
