3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 BückDich (5468) - McCall, Idaho, USA - SEP 26, 2010
Bottle: Pours an amber color with an average head. The nose is hoppy and clean with a rich malty caramel base, moreso than I would expect. Dry hop notes in the flavor to balance the big body and a chewy finish with more pine and resin in the finish. Quite a nice ipa.
3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 13/20 unclemattie (3242) - Georgia, USA - SEP 18, 2010
12oz bottle. Cloudy, lots of floaties. Tall bellowing foam. Aroma of heavy hops, dominating scent of grapefruit rind. Flavor is all hops. Total Palate Bruiser! Not much flavor as far as malt goes, you’ll find the simple caramel pale barley malt character, some bread. And then bold, strong, bitter, resiny hops. The bitterness will coat your tongue and you can sense nothing else but hops. I love American IPAs.
2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 10/20 bpreo (917) - Eugene, Oregon, USA - SEP 13, 2010
Was dangerously average. Any more average and I would call it bland and pointless.
3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 strongpieman (689) - Mount Airy, Maryland, USA - SEP 12, 2010
Very good overall IPA. Strong floral aroma, some hints of spruce. Deep amber color, cloudy, medium carbonation, medium body. Thick foamy white head. Bitter taste but the finish is short.
2.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20 gururyan (304) - Tulsa, Oklahoma, USA - SEP 11, 2010
Grabbed this as part of a "Pick Six" of beers I had never heard of before, wish I had left this one alone.
4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 stretchfest (76) - St. Louis, Missouri, USA - SEP 8, 2010
Bottle. Pours a thick, hazy burnt orange color. Wonderful aroma dominated by pineapple and citrus hops along with some more grassy notes. Taste is nice and bitter; very earthy. Some faint traces of brown sugar.
3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 hbmason (808) - Shoreline, Washington, USA - AUG 20, 2010
12 oz. bottle. This ipa suprised me. It wasn’t make me sick hops in my face but it was very refreshing and just enough hops aroma and taste.
3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 milljam (682) - Norman, Oklahoma, USA - AUG 18, 2010
Aroma has faint hints of citrus hops, but is mainly composed of herbal/piney notes with a subtle malt presence. Flavor is slightly hop forward, with herbal/pine notes dominating, followed by a lingering malt finish with mild bitterness. Decent session IPA overall.
