Poured from 12oz bottle, nice hazy orange color with white head, aroma is full of bittering hops and not much else, flavor is hoppy and bitter with not a lot of malt character to it, a little unbalanced but still enjoyable.

Poured from a twelve ounce bottle into my go to Czechvar glass. Label indicates bottled in the first week of January. Pours a nice warm apricot color with thick cloud. Chunky sediment in the glass fights with the rising carbonation bubbles. Massive, hop oil head towers over the top of the glass with a moderate pour and leaves sticky clingy soap sud lace all over the top of the glass. Rings with each quaff, nice looking beer. Aroma is mild, but agreeable. Light tannic acid and hop tea aroma followed by chewy roasted caramel malt. Hop aroma finishes tropical fruity and reminds me of the smell of the skin of a pineapple. It amazes me that the aroma is still this fresh with a beer that is 5 months old. Flavor is bright hops on the front. Slightly salty and grassy, there is a little bit of fruit peeking in there. Middle brings a light malt flavor, grain is substantial, but the finish brings more hop. Bitter and clean, there is a lot of resinous chewiness in the hop flavor. Hops yield a bit at the end to a sweetish malt with a citrus lemon or grapefruit rind flavor, then a completely dry and clean bitter hop finish. Very nice. Mouthfeel is a tad thin, given the appearance and flavor, but good. The carbonation is adequate to hold up to the flavor of the beer. This is probably the achilles heel for this beer, not that it matters. Overall a very tasty IPA that I would seek out and buy in the future. I can’t wait to get a fresher one. My Rdev is gonna hurt from this beer. Reviewed on: 06-24-2010

This is a very nice and well-done IPA. I was a little scared when pouring the bottle, because a couple clumps came tumbling out and into my glass. Then I saw a truckload of floaters. It made me a little nervous, but I then assumed that this beer is most likely unfiltered and au-naturale. A lot of the sediment collected at the bottom the glass, making for a less-than desirable appearance. The rest of the beer was great, though. Besides the floaters and clumps, this IPA poured a light copper color with a golden hue and an off-white head. The head leaves a little bit of sticky lacing around the edges of the glass. The nose is full of hops, with hints of orange peel, grapefruit and bread. The body and mouthfeel are a bit on the full side. The flavors are very hoppy, very dry and bitter, with a touch of alcohol and sweet malts. The finish is both hoppy and sweet, as well.

Sampled at SBWF09 Hazy golden. Small, white head. Very fruity aroma and flavour; Nelson-hops? Medium bitterness with tropical fruits in the flavour.

Hoppy aroma. Smells like fresh cut grass. No malt aroma. Hops dominate the aroma. Cloudy amber color. Very nice long lasting head. Lots of hop flavor. Not much malt flavor. The bitterness is fairly high, but it is the flavor of hops that rules this beer. Not well balanced. I know IPAs are balanced towards hops, but this beer seems to have tons of late addition hops, and this really makes this beer less drinkable. A lighter hand on the flavor hops would have made this beer much better. Lots of oily hop flavor in the aftertaste. I love hops, but the way they are used in this beer makes it unpleasant. While I will finish this bottle without any problems, one bottle is all I want of this beer, ever.

Sampled on 7/20/2010. This IPA pours a medium orange gold color from a 12oz bottle. Medium sized white foamy head. The aroma is orange, citrusy and fruity. A medium bodied IPA. The malts are fruity, caramel and sweet. The hops are citrusy and floral. Nice carbonation. Hints of orange and orange peel throughout. A nice well balanced solid IPA. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly bitter.

Golden color, thin off-white head. Aroma of strong pineapple. Taste is hop-forward pineapple citrus, sweet malt, mildly bitter finish. Creamy and full-bodied.

Pretty hazy copper body below an off-white mild one inch head. Aroma is strong on the grassy hops, with a firm toasty malt backbone. Some citrus and brown sugar-like sweetness round out the nose. Medium-light body with good carbonation. Flavor is pine and earthy hops, with a distinctive oakiness that mixes well with the subtle malt background. Hop bitterness is of a high, IPA style, though certainly not overwhelming, and carrying through into the finish. A very delicious and well balanced IPA. Well crafted, and definitely will have again.
