3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bright orange amber with a slime-like covering of cream coloured head that is sticking to the side of the glass. There are aromas of pink grapefruit, kumquat, peach fuzz and spruce gum. It’s a lovely aroma, but by no means pungent. You really have to stick your nose in and get a bloody great lungful to get the full palate. It’s sherbety and orangey in the mouth and then along comes sweet then bitter. It was lipsmacking. The flavour was a lot more convincing that the aroma contributing to a good enjoyment overall.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottled sample. A fairly standard IPA - heavy floral notes with a little caramel/bready malt sweetness. Not one I would go back to again and again but will do in a pinch.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle. Deep amber, with no head and slight carbonation. Big, citrus hop aroma. Flavour was dominated by resin, with some orange sweetness and a dryish, grapefruit, finish. A good IPA.

2.5 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Very average IPA. On tap at Bocktown Monaca. Aroma was weak. Stale beer with a little caramel. Pour was a medium gold with a thin off white film for a head. Taste was very mild. Great beer to eat with lunch. Very mild flavor but refreshing. Caramel and sticky pine. Very light, though, and the carbonation washes away any flavor after the swallow. Mild carbonation.

>> Had a nasty stale bottle of this at a wedding reception. Thankfully had a fresher example the next day at the brewery. Clear amber pour, fresher than bottle. Good lace. Stickier, piney, East Coast resin and nutty amber IPA style. Heavy in the stomach type of body. Nose is juicy orange. Taste i very bitter, dense. Outdated IPA approach.
