Enjoyed on tap at the quality control station halfway through the brewery tour. A perfect break from Lakefront’s typically uber-intense malty beverages. Aroma is sensational citrus and pine--the equivalent of alcoholic smelling salts. Sharply bitter taste, but absolutely in a good way, balanced by, what else for Lakefront, a malty body.

On tap @ Lakefront. Clear orange/yellow with a small white head. Aroma of citrus, tropical fruit, pine and toasty malt. Flavor is medium hop bitterness and a sweetish malt presence, no alcohol taste. Medium body with average carbonation and a slightly syrupy mouth feel. Pretty decent IPA, bit on the sweet side but the fresh hopiness made up for it.

1. Look – A medium amber color IPA with a small white head. 2. Sniff – It a big caramel malt nose with a citrusy and piney hop aroma. 3. Sip – This medium bodied IPA is initially sweet upfront and has a piney and grapefruit finish that is long lasting. This IPA has a more interesting hop flavor in comparison to other mainstream IPA’s and it has a more dry taste as well. 4. Another Look – This is average looking IPA with weak lacing. 5. Evaluate – Overall, this is a very enjoyable IPA. I particularly like this IPA because it has a beginning, middle, and end which keeps me interested in this ale. I would recommend this IPA to family and friends because it is a tasty and easy to drink ale for those who enjoy dry and mildly bitter IPAs.

It poured a hazy burnt orange color. The aroma was dominated by pineapple and citrus hops along with some more grassy notes. The taste was decent and bitter; very earthy. A very decent IPA.

Golden amber color with a gigantic, lively white head. Very fragrant aroma, tropical fruits, jolly ranchers, caramel, fresh hops. Sweet and malty underneath, bitter hops on top. The finish is nicely balanced and crisp and clean. The hop profile leans towards resinous pine. Solidly made, just a little too sweet in the middle.

12 ounce bottle from Total Wine, poured a deep orange color with a decent size white head. Aromas of hops, grapefruit, honey, and a touch of caramel. Flavor matches aroma with a twinge of pineapple.

A: Dark golden-amber with a nice puffy off-white head... a bit of lacing is left behind... S: Nice floral hop character punches you in the face to start.. mellows out to a more earthy hop aroma towards the end. T: The different hop aromas manifest themselves in a playful way in the taste... balanced by a nice malt background... just a hint of bitterness in the finish M: Refreshing. Crisp. Clean. Moderate Carbonation on the tongue. O: A good showing... Will definitely drink again. Just gotta find it out this way.

Very good beer. Pours a cloudy copper color with a thin, white head. Strong aromas of grapefruit, and pine. Taste is very malty, touches of tropical fruit, mixed with a variety of powerful hops. Pine, spruce, floral, all mixed in. Tastes like drinking a forest, but in a good way. Very intense hop character was a bit overwhelming. A very good ipa.
