Very hoppy aroma. White head. Golden coloured hoppy and fruity. Crisp on the palate with a hint of bitterness in the finish.

Bottle in a tulip. Pours murky dark orange with a large off-white head. Great retention and sticky lacing. Nice aroma: grassy and green with a hint of malt sweetness. Decent bitter flavor, but the thin-watery texture really turned me off. Finishes without balance. Might be a bad bottle.

Their flagship IPA, on tap at the brewery.Very good c-hop aroma. Very hoppy, a good IPA. A little sprucey certainly helps, so drinkable but not complex. Lacey beer, though golden body lacking much of a head. A must have if you are trying their beers.

Medium citrus malts, a bit of floral, and standing caramel malts throughout the nose and mouth. Light bitterness in the finish. Decent but a bit boring.

Bottle. Light to moderate roasted andcaramel for the malt, moderate pine and grapefruit for the hops, light soap for the yeast, with notes of ripe pineapple and a touch of honey. Head is small, frothy turning wispy, off-white with fair lacing and is mostly diminishing. Color is hazy amber/orange. Flavor starts faintly sweet and lightly to moderately acidic, then finishes lightly acidic and moderately acidic. Palate is medium, watery with a lively carbonation. A nice juicy hop smell and some true to style IPA aspect from this tasty beer.

This beer is really pretty decent, but still nothing much to it. I like some more complexity.
3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 StefanSD (1542) - Lakeside, California, USA - AUG 16, 2011
Glass at the brewery. Pours a rich copper color with a small off-white head that had fair retention. Aroma of pine resins and some mild citrus. The taste was hops forward with piney-citrusy hops set in a caramel malt base--I’m guessing that they biter with columbus and dry hop with simcoe and cascade. The palate was full and smooth with soft carbonation. Finished short with lingering green hops. Overall: Decent IPA (at least when served fresh on tap).
