3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
12oz bottle from Holiday. Pours light amber with a big, fizzy white head that settles nicely with good retention, spider web lace. Smells light citrusy, earthy hoppy with a slight malt presence. Tastes very good, light hoppy, citrusy sweet with just slight bitterness. Some malt, grainy and cereal sweet. Medium body, good carbonation.

3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Reddish-gold pour with a medium, off-white head. Evergreen hops, toffee, and rosemary on the nose. Citrusy hops predominate on the palate (which was a surprise after the piney aroma). Also pineapple. Nice IPA.

1.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 4/20
Tarry pine aroma. Unhazy lightly darker than pale yellow. No Head. Bitter soapy taste bud brunt . Eye pee aye. Terrible medication. Linger is easier said than done. Will not buy again. Too much for this lager lover.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
NTH TRIAL: Golden body with a thin white head; clean sweet smell with subtle bitter hop aromas; smooth mouthfeel and flavor with a touch of sweet malt followed by a great cleansing, floral, bitter finish. This beer isn’t the best IPA I’ve ever had by far, but it’s a damn good beer for a damn good price in a time when exploding hop costs have resulted in skyrocketing prices for some of its big brothers. This beer makes a great session brew and is one that I buy frequently.

3.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 10/20
12 oz bottle pours light orange with a thin white head. Lots of hoppiness in the aroma. Citrus and pine. Flavor is sweet and malty upfront with a nice hop bite in the finish.

2.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
UPDATED: SEP 7, 2008 Yeah, another Jakebra crush. Sexy nose. The aroma is the best part of this beer. The nose totally led up to disappointment. Flavor is boring. Finish: maybe some dish soap. No idea why this is rated so high.

Draft at Capone’s. Pours dark straw with 1-finger clingy off-white head. Nose is deep piney hops, caramel malt, tangerine. Tastes crisp, smooth, and very resiny hoppy, with a solid malt bill that balances things out quite nicely. This one was very good.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
12oz bottle, surprised alot by this one, its your traditional IPA color, but the taste is dynamic, very reminiscent of a 2hearted type taste, a tad more bitterness stays in the throat than with 2hearted but this stuff is pretty good IMO, must be pretty fresh. bottle conditioned also.

Tap at Barcade: Pours a hazy orange withan off white small, creamy head. The aroma is fresh with sweet citrus- caramel & orange, along with tropical fruit notes of peach and mango. The body has nice creamy dense carbonation. Some sweet notes in the flavor (swet as in tropical fruit notes) of peach, mango, caramelized orange notes, anda rounded, mild malt back with a long finish, which is only mildly resiny. A pretty good and well balanced IPA.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
[Draft @ Capones] Poured an amber color with a small, off white head that left light lacing on the glass. Aroma of pine, citrus fruits, floral hops, toasted malts, and buttery toffee. Taste of citrus fruits, pine, caramel malts, grass, diactyl, and finishing with a grapefruit bitterness. Unfortunately the keg this was served out of seemed to let enough air in to begin the butteriness.
