Pours a clear amber though a lot of suspended solids, and a consistent off white head leaving moderate lace. Aroma is citrus, grass, and light pine. Nice enjoyable Aroma. Flavour is grapefruit, resin, pine, grass, medium smooth bitterness, and some sweet caramel that gives good balance.

On tap at a local pizza place in Pewaukee. Pours a golden orange with a foamy white head leaving very nice circular lacing. Aroma has fresh cut grass and pine and some citrus. Taste is of pine and resin and grapefruit, with a solid sweet caramel background. Medium bodied and a bit sticky. Have they adjusted the hop recipe - this used to completely be a cascade grapefruit bomb. Now it is balanced, if leaning more to the hoppy side, and more piney/grassy than citrusy. Very nice! Amazed I have not rated this, and amazed that it was better than memory served.

12oz bottle, from Jungle Jim’s in Fairfield. Bottled 5/14/13. ABV is labeled 6.6%. Mostly clear amber color. Mildly hazy with fine particles in the body. Good one-finger thick white head. Nice mountains of lace. Medium-plus body. Smooth, lighter carbonation. Dry finish. Caramel malts, lightly spicy. Nice citrusy (light grapefruit), resiny hops. Bitter, and sweet taste. Respectable IPA, good flavor

Pours a hazy orange with a half finger white head. Good lacing and head retention. Smells is all hops with lots of grapefruit and orange citrus. Really no malt detectable at all. Flavor starts out with tons of citrus from the hops along with a moderate bitterness. A little pit of grainiy malt is detectable in the middle but not a whole lot. Hops are king. Finish is pretty long lasting and drying. Overall this is a pretty good IPA. Could use a little more malt flavor but the hoppiness is wonderful.

This one poured a lighter amber color with a beige head. Aroma was of grassy and herbal hops and caramel. Flavor was pretty dull and boring not much hoppy goodness, and another run of the mill bad IPA.

ALLOVATE (2281) - Perth, AUSTRALIA - MAY 26, 2013
Produces up a hazy, opaque orange amber with lots of proteins caught in suspension. Messy, drabby off-white foam atop is mostly lasting. Nose is drenched with bitter citrus, pine, camphor, nettles, honey, cotton candy and rose musk - balanced and well poised. Relatively light on the palate given the penetrating aroma. Soft, creamy and dry in the finish. Moderate bitter, grapefruit doused swallow. Vannilin, camphor and musk lingers long. Yeasty but with enough grainy malt to keep it level. Very easy drinking stuff. Balanced and sessionable - a nice APA! (12fl.Oz, Brewed 02/13, Cellarbrations Carlisle)

355ml bottle. Pours a hazy medium amber, with lots of sediment and a moderate off-white head, which lasts well and leaves good lacing. Tropical fruit and pine hops notes dominate the aroma, with the merest hint of caramel malt in the mix. A potent blend of melon, kiwifruit and pine resin hops up front move into a slight strawberry flavour. Caramel malt in the mid-palate provides some backing to the hops, with pine resin again strong in the finish, leaving a slightly sappy aftertaste. This is quite a nice IPA, with an interesting blend of hops flavours.
