Bottle from City Beer SF, August 2013. Golden with a medium white head. Fresh with nice amount of hops and fruit. Resin, pine, grape and some light malt. Bitter and with some warming alcohol in the finish.

Pours a hazy golden with a robust, foamy, long lasting white head. The aroma has pine, grapefruit, mango, a good amount of caramel, and herbal hops. The taste is big on a blend of pine, caramel, and mango. Herbal impressions are quite abundant as well It really doesn’t have much of a hoppy bite. For an IPA, it seems more flat. Medium bodied, oily in texture, mild in carbonation. This is a pretty solid beer. But there isn’t anything extraordinary to report.

Enjoyed from bottle at Quarters in Milwaukee, WI after eating an awesome BBQ Tofu sandwich at Riverwest Co-Op. I'll rate this beer later.

12oz bottle. Pours a hazy amber color with a finger of foamy off white head. Aroma of faint citrus and piney hops. Taste follows the nose, with some sweet malts and moderate hop bitterness. Mouthfeel is ok, nothing special.

Bottle purchased at Four Firkins. Strong hop presence from the beginning. This one knows it’s an IPA and owns it. Golden color with orange hue. Engulfs the mouth with hops with a last second attempt to balance with a slight sweetness. A pretty good IPA when you’re searching for one in its pure form.

Bottle at Fiddlesticks in Elkhorn with Sarah and the Trauts. Poured a foggy orange with 1 finger head. Nose is rich with hops...full flavor....very smooth...very tasty. Will just have to do another.

UPDATED: JUL 29, 2013 The Lost Notebook Files Beer #2. Got this as a gift from friends in a beer of the month club type order. Pours a clear amberish brown with minimal head. Aroma is thin and grassy. Tastes like ten ounces of IPA mixed with two ounces of water. Mediciney aftertaste. In retrospect, this probably wasn’t very fresh. Draft at the Wicked Hop in Milwaukee. This is a pretty, orange amber color. And this is a pretty nice, fruity drink. Ctirus, cantelpe, very smooth floral character. Now I wish they’d had this on at the brewery. Great offering. (#5150, 7/5/2013)

12oz bottle thanks to ghostface. Pours copper orange with white head. Bit of a citrus and resin aroma. Taste is the same.

Tap Stagshead mostly to fill out my flight but a WI tick is always unexpected bonus. Pours golden with citrus nose. Tastes of grapefruit, apples, resin, white pepper, and grass. Slight alcohol presence but overall ok.
