2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 SHANER4 (427) - Green Bay, Wisconsin, USA - MAR 8, 2009
12 oz. bottle - Poured very hazy orange and yellow color with small head.
Aroma - citrus, lemon and cereal.
Flavor - lemon, citrus and maybe some pineapple.
Palate - very thin and somewhat soapy mouthfeel. Bitter on tongue with dry and somewhat sour aftertaste.
Overall - Really not a great IPA, average at best but drinkable. This brew became alot better as it warmed!?

Not much aroma. Very sweet, floral almost airfreshner flavours. Citrus almost orange juice flavour but no bitterness. A bit disappointing given it’s reputation......

this should be classified as a pale, not an ipa. the hop presence is not nearly there for an ipa. now, were this a pale, it would be great. mellow hop flavor goes well with the somewhat sweet maltieness.

Was dangerously average. Any more average and I would call it bland and pointless.

Pours a thin head over a slightly cloudy, pale (SRM 3-4)body......nose is grapefruit, pine, bit of sweet malt (toffee)....taste is more sweet malts with a light hop grapefruit, pine finish....mouth feel is medium, carbonation low. A pleasant but mild IPA. Tasting of 9/26/09

Bottle. Pour is a golden copper with a nice and fluffy head. Aromas are citrus and pine with a touch of skunky hops. Flavor is OK, but little more. A bit of what I would call "old hops" with a kind of watery edge to them. Very little balance between malt and hops and just doesn’t seem to go anywhere.
